I post at whatever time is convenient for me, its the day that is important not the time. I also don't bother whether its a post box or post office (except for the small boxes obviously) - our local post office was closed by the last Labour government but is still listed as one. Kantar said it didn't matter, post them anywhere within my postcode and at any time - so long as its before last collection on the correct day specified on the schedule.

  • You're so right. I'm just about to post a letter that should go from the post office.

It will be posted at our local post box which is listed as a sub post office but closed down long ago.

I always input the correct date, time and PO Box no. and have never had any complaints from kantar.

I have my first panel pack but the information isn't online yet. I have not packaged up two of my parcels as they require smarts.

I have both smarts - but don't know if I need to use a specific one for each parcel. I assume I am to wait until the system either tells me which one to use - or I register which one I am sending.

I am hoping they will update the website soon.

Yes I suppose it wouldn't make much difference at 12:55 and 13:05 they'd still end up in the same delivery anyway.

I just post them right in the middle of the two time slots, ie both at 13:00 ish unless I'm going out earlier or later and they both go in at that time, I wouldn't go out twice.

I always use whatever post box I'm passing, I don't walk further to a post office post box.

I do wonder, although they say it doesn't matter, if they would ever favour people who post exactly to schedule though.

Got a small box to post on a Saturday afternoon  no way am I queuing up on one of the busiest Saturdays before xmas in a post office that late in the day! It will go at 9am before the crowds build up.. I will have my 'foam sample content' answer ready (though they may wonder why it didn't go in a jiffy envelope...).
  • This has happened to me on numerous occasions. The site will probably not update till Monday or Tuesday.

The website does not always specify which SMART to use. If it says on the website that an item should have a SMART and you have spare SMARTS that are not allocated to other items then you should use one of these. One you log the item on the system as prepared then it will ask you if you added a SMART and will give you a dropdown list of your current SMARTS so you can allocate one to the item. It will then show on the website that the SMART is allocated to that item. So, if a particular SMART is specified by the website then you should include the right one with the letter but if it says Add SMART without specifying a particular one then you should use one of your spare SMARTS. Hope that makes sense :)

I posted when and where was convenient for me during my first 6 month stint and I was asked back exactly 6 months later so I assume it really doesn't matter. Posting on the correct day and entering correct data on the website is what seems to be most important to them :)

    Q) On the posting plan it say Post Office. Do I go in and had it over the counter?

    A) No, you never hand anything over the counter unless it does not fit into the post box outside e.g. Small Box.

Oh dear, I don't think it will be too long before I am dumped from this lark! I have been handing the items over at the counter as there is no post box within or directly outside. The post box I use is about 100yrds away from the shop and with a different address?

I have only been doing this a few weeks and this week I had four items to post but one was missing. The week after next I have two items to post with smarts but the smarts are missing? Is it a regular problem to have items missing? Do you ever have to reuse the smarts which you have received in the test mail?
