Currently completing 'unaddressed mail' surveys, and as it's a while since last doing them, wondered if someone could clarify a point.
Any pamphlets, brochures etc which arrive with free newspapers are recorded, yet if they arrive with paid newspapers, they are not recorded?
Thanks for any help.0 -

As far as I understand it, if it doesn't have your full name & address on it and it's posted through your door then it needs to be recorded.0 -
Thanks for clarification custardy and Chocmonster7.0

Paid newspapers wouldnt be classed as mail?
And IF they were, then "technically" they would count as "correctly addressed" and NOT "unaddressed" since your newspaper delivery boy has put something you've "ordered" specifically through your letterbox and NOT some/most/all of the houses in your street.
Just because the newsagent hasn't PHYSICALLY written your name and address on the item in question, it doesn't mean it's "unaddressed", after all it has rightly reached its one and only destination.

Why worry about it ? TNS don't track it so just use your common sense. If anyone thinks it is unaddressed mail, then record it accordingly.
It is a bit like posting at any post box at anytime; as long as it is the posted on same day.

Has anybody been asked to do extra posting for them?
I agreed to do it, the pack arrived today, but no instructions as to where to send the letters to, or any stamps to do so. Will the rest arrive separately does anyone know?
I have 10 letters to post, one each day, and 10 forms to return to them, again one per day. The forms have self addressed envelopes, but the letters have no address or postage.
Any ideas?essex girl in exile0 -
Okay here's one for you.... I have one postbox and a post office counter in my area. The postbox gets picked up at 9am every morning. Often I get asked to post items in a postbox after 12. However, this would be after the pick up time! So what then? There is no box in our post office, I have to hand post over the counter so should I post it there instead because last pick up I'd 5pm?July Win: Nokia 58000

It doesnt get cleared at 9am.
Its guaranteed collection is by 9am. It can be cleared at any time after that.0 -

Please refer my previous postings on the last 2-to-3 pages of this thread, where I have advised that TNS allows anyone to post at any post box at anytime during the day within their post code area. Just ignore TNS instructions and post your items when convenient for you and enter your actual post details on the TNS website; even if you post after 0900hrs or after 1200hrs. It makes no diffrence. There is no box in our post office, I have to hand post over the counter so should I post it there instead because last pick up I'd 5pm?
No...please refer to above. You can post at any post box at anytime.
