  • I had an item received the other day, where my postie gave the cube to a neighbour as I was not in.

When I put the entry on the TNS website, I was not given an option to say it had been geven to a neighbour. I just said the the postie delivered it first time without any probs.

The postie did not pop a delivery card in my post box to advise that he had given the item to a neighbour. He is a good postie and I will not be escalating.

    Good man! :D:D
  • I've received a test item this morning and the sender has written 'Before 12, PO' in the left-hand corner (obviously a posting reminder).

I am concerned that if my postman has noticed, I will be revealed as a panelist. Is there anything I should do about it?

I've received a few items like these over the years with writing on about days/times, I take a photo and email TNS because to me it shows the sender doesn't know what they are doing and they've not read the instructions how to do it, I have not been taken off the panel because of it.
  • Thank you TG, if it happens again I'll do the same.

U are very lucky not to have been removed. I urge you not to divulge anything to TNS with regards any sender for your own sake to ensure that TNS do not take you off the panel. For example, they may suggest that your postie has recognised you are participating in the survey with such revelations.

Your choice but you have been warned.

I also note that this is your one and only posting on MSE and I suggest that everyone treats this with caution.
  • Hi! Can I just check, I am currently doing the training stage of the posting, if it says post at post box, is it okay to post it at a postbox outside of the postoffice? Can I use the same one if it says post at post office too? Thanks so much for any help :)

You can post at any box in your postcode area. For me, my nearest post box is less then 200 yards from my home. I always try to use this for my posting. The only exception is cubes or large packages, where I have no option but to use the post office.

Please pay no attention to TNS. They will advise you to post items at certain times and at either a post box or post office. You can post at anytime and at any post box. You just need to make sure you post on the same day as TNS have advised you. If not, just post on the same day the following week or weeks.

For example, if your post code in MN23 4OS, you can post your items in any post box in the MN area.

    HTHs.
  • Thanks so much!! I have one more problem, I took a photo of the postbox detail but don't have the 'tablet' with the day on it in my photo :( I didn't realise I needed that too so have no idea what to do? there is no don't know option.

That may be how you do it, but I work on the basis that if they didn't care if it was a post box or post office they wouldn't bother specifying that in the first place.

Kazxybabes, if it says post at a post office, then the training instructions say using the post box outside is fine, and the posting options on the website allow you to specify that.

If you didn't notice the day on the postbox, is it usually correct? If so, I'd say that's what day I'd put. If it's one that is missing, there is a none of the above option.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
  • Perfect thank you! There was something on it but i didn't notice what lol! It was 9am this morning though so it must of been today, thank you :)
