Also received a plastic mailer test item with a pile of virgin unfolded A4 in it.

Something strange has just happened - how do i record this?

Hi, Ive just received a cube BUT there was NO postage mark on it!!?? - it had my name but there is no method of payment?? there's a smart in there....but im completely baffled - it seems to have got here free....how do I record this ???

The correct thing to do would be to email TNS stating just that. Can't see how that might harm you, but it looks like this can happen if the poster lives nearby and wants to pocket the postage by delivering themself?

Not sure there is any need to email them at all.

When you log the item's receipt under "ENTER RECEIVED ITEMS" it asks you a series of questions ...

... which include ...

Is there a postmark on the front of the item?

Postmark on front?
Yes
No

and also asks about the postage method (FRANKED, STAMPED or APL?)

and also the POSTAGE VALUE - 1st, 2nd or a £.p amount

Everything you need to report is covered.

IF they need further details they will contact you.

... unless columbo_addict has something substantially more than a letterbox to receive a CUBE in/through (and the poster knows this or left it outside and took the risk of not being seen) then I'd suggest it's been taken from the hands of the postman.

As Quoia states, the questions when logging received items should cover it and TNS would no doubt be in touch of more is needed.
Having said that, there's no harm in being thorough if you do email them. They can take a while to respond so I would still log the cube on the system in the mean time.
What you might find when you log it (at the end), it may ask you to confirm that there was no postage and/or post mark. I have found that when the details are different to what the system is expecting.

I signed up a month or so again and it said that I was successful (I think, can't remember exactly what screen I saw but it said we will be in contact or something like that) but haven't heard anything since. I just went back to the sign up link and now it says they aren't recruiting in my postcode. Should I have received something by now? Maybe I should just assume they don't need me?! Annoying really as could really do with those stamps at the moment!

They will not contact you again until they have a vacancy in your area - it could be weeks or it could be months.
