    Hi folks,

I've only gone and posted something a day early. Doh. Logged it as such on the website. I've emailed them to let them know. Has anyone else done this? If so, were there any consequences of note?

    Thanks.

I'm not judging, but I don't think that's going by the rules. The guidance says if you can't post it on the day, then it's fine to post it same day a week later. A day earlier wouldn't really be the same test conditions.

However, not to worry, you probably won't get a sanction, just a reminder message most likely (unless you keep doing it).

Sounds more like it was an accident to me rather than a deliberate act!

As long as you've told them what has happened then it isn't really going to affect the survey results anyway as it will have still gone through the same process just a day earlier.

Very much doubt anything will happen to you Survlass so relax. :)

I did it once a while ago, mixed my days up. I emailed them and they just said thanks for letting them know :)

Yes, agree with you on it's nothing big and probably won't affect results. What I mean is by specifying say Wednesdays, they are trying to pinpoint whether the people on Wednesday shifts are doing worse than say Thursdays maybe? It wouldn't be the same test they planned. Of course, like you said it won't affect it though because they can take this sample out of the results for Wednesday, but it becomes a pointless test overall if it's not testing what they planned right?

From a surveyor point of view like yourselves, one or two days doesn't matter of course, but just trying to think in their shoes...

Thanks folks. It was my first "Before Midday" and I was so focused on getting it out on time that I forgot what day it was!

    Hi Guys,
I have been on Live Panel for few months with initially on test panel. I have been posting ordinary envelopes with/out SMARTS until now.

Next Fri I have to post a CD box for the first time. It is a small A5 size box. I want to know if the box fits in the post box can I post it without going to the counter, or do I have to hand it in at the counter.

    PS.
I missed one post on Wed. I emailed TNS to ask if I need to post it same day/time next week. They confirmed this for me.

    Hello

Yes, the CD box fits in the postbox. No need to go to the counter.

I received an item today with notes on the back of the envelope, clearly entered by the sender, referring to posting day, time and location.

I want to let TNS know so they can get in touch with the sender, but won't because it may jeopardise my participation.

I have been on the panel for a few years now and people have been writing posting dates, times and location on the envelopes for the majority of that time.
Many people have contacted TNS and have then found themselves removed from the panel:mad:
I have never received any communication from TNS to advise people not to do this so all of these people have been removed through no fault of their own and it has not had any impact on this happening, You are right not to tell them !

I did read somewhere, possibly on one of the pop ups when you log in, something like "some people have been writing notes on the envelopes noting sending times, do not do this". They really should make it more obvious, especially when receivers are discouraged from reporting because they'll lose out. Obviously the receiver is then identified by the postie, but maybe TNS could give a thank you gift, and a suspension, rather than blacklisting.
