I'm puzzled...


Puzzle 1:


In the introductory material it tells us that some test items may not look like letters and SMARTs might come inside brochures or magazines or other material. In my first two stints I never saw anything that wasn't obvious. This time round, I've started getting test items sent from a certain DVD rental business inside the sort of envelope they use to send and return DVDs. Fine - but I've now had them for 6 weeks in a row - always arriving on Thursday. Anybody else getting these? How long are they going to go on for...


Puzzle 2:


SMARTs in the non R-number magazines. Again, in my first 2 stints I never saw any of these (although some of the magazine never appeared either...) but for the last 2 weeks, the website has told me there should have been a SMART in my weekly issue of a mildly interesting trade journal and it's been missing. Does anybody get SMARTs in their free reading?

I never get a smart with these. These does not stop TNS from constantly tellling me that I should, and querying when I say none received.

During this stint I started retraining in January and on the main panel following this. During that time there have been a couple of items of information (without R numbers} that are showing that I should receive.


Up to date, received no mags or anything else from TNS. Has anyone else found similar?

I started retraining about the same time and have yet to receive any Non R number items although some are showing as due to receive

BUT the mail is not collected until the regulation Royal Mail times dicated to them. So anything I take to them is held until Royal Mail come to collect.

The Post Office did eventually answer my question regarding the opening hours & they differ from online times which means that even though the shop is open the Post Office counter isn't.

There are two items showing which should be eventually received, it seems strange that none have yet arrived.


Also, so far, there seem to be fewer items to post than when I was last on the panel. Received package today from TNS and there is only one item to post. This week there were two, and they were both to be posted on the same day.


Not complaining, just slightly curious.

I am the same. One to post for a few weeks now. And two received a week. Even with one week, totally nothing!

I'm very surprised how panelist stay for years, I was doing the survey for 6 months and then was out. Always made all in time and correctly?I since moved address and re-applied but I haven't heard anything yet?It has been 3 months now

All panellists do approximately 6 months on the survey and then get a 6 month break before being asked back. I have been doing the survey for 6 months each year for the last 4 years. If you have moved house then it will depend if or when they have a vacancy in your area

Yes is does seem odd, I had 3 last week, 1 next week and 1 the week after, much less than previous times on the panel:)
