Stamps instead of APL.
A few weeks ago I had a cube to send using APL. The Post Office computer in my local branch was offline and so stamps were placed on the item instead.
Sent an immediate email to TNS to advise, who responded with thanks for updating them.
Not always the panellist fault!0 -
I am getting a bit frustrated now as TNS have queried every item I have posted in the last 2 weeks! I have now had an email querying a posting from 23rd April - how can I remember the time I posted this item! They are saying that my posting date and the smart date are different! I emailed them to ask why all the queries and have had no reply!
Also I sent a pic of a post box to confirm the last posting time - they amended it but now it has gone back to the old time - aaarrrgghhhh!!
Wondering if its worth all the hassle of these last few weeks?
Hi
I now keep the Post Plans for a month with the times I post the item. Now, I have queries about when I receive items which I don't record unless I input a day later. Like stephenliverpool1, I say the details are correct.Sealed Pot Challenge No 089-Finally got a signature.:rotfl::j0 -

But I bet the Post Office didn't attach 6 x FIRST CLASS STAMPS (£3.84) on the cube to cover the required postage did they ?
Probably used just the normal standard £3.30 stamp and a top up value of 5p
Or NINE  1st class at 64p (total £5.76) on a Medium box as reported by welshdeedee when it should have been a £5.70 APL
Neither would be the action of a Post OfficeThere are 10 types of people in the world. ‹(•¿•)›(11)A104.28S94.98O112.46N86.73D101.02(12)J130.63F126.76M134.38A200.98M156.30J95.56J102.85A175.93

Just to update you further. I have had a response from TNS, firstly thanking me for reporting this matter. They will be contacting the sender.
I agree with quoia. The sender has more than likely used their own stock of first class stamps and benefited by not using cash to pay for the APL.[STRIKE]30:22[/STRIKE]

I'm not sure if this is anything to do with this more looking for opinions, this morning I went to post a cube, my local PO has moved into a convenience shop & I was told PO doesn't open till 9. I checked the opening times online & it says 0500-2200 on a Saturday.
So I'm a bit confused tempted to email PO & ask what the opening times should be because I would have thought opening times meant that was hours PO desk was manned.
What do you think?
my PO is in a store. They are open 7am to 11pm. What they mean is the PO counter is manned from 7am to 11pm by a PO member of staff employed by them. BUT the mail is not collected until the regulation Royal Mail times dicated to them. So anything I take to them is held until Royal Mail come to collect.0
