I wonder how many people "fail" the training? I suspect there are a proportion who think "this is too much like hard work" and just keep the stamps/envelopes and never send anything after the first week. But do TNS ever say "this person has done it wrong x times - we'll not put them onto the live panel" and would they actually say this was the reason as opposed to claiming to be oversubscribed in that area?I need to think of something new here...0 -
This has been the case for as long as I have been on the panel. The online schedule is most up to date and if the SMART column is blank for an item then you do not add a SMART.
You never return SMARTS to TNS unless they ask you - check the website on Fridays and if there are SMARTS to be returned then the "Return SMARTs" button will have turned red
They do ask that if you check your holding of Smarts and find one (or more!) which are not listed, you return them in the return envelope. So cherie1122 would return the unrecorded Smart without waiting to be asked to do so online.0 -

No wonder they are always running out of Smarts .......
Are you sure?
Maybe the sender might put the wrong smart and information label in your item. (if I got someone label in my item, then someone should get my label then)
You can check the Postcode on the information label whether it is your postcode? If not, then the sender made a mistake. You can just bin the rest, and return the Smart.0 -
Yes, I'm sure. I've had a request for the return of the Smart with no number - it made me laugh.
I will return it today.0 -

I agree about some of the half-heads who are allowed to take part in this process - I'm sure there should be some kind of test to root out the truly stupid before they even start!
Thanks for that link - I'll look into that right away:beer:
Could be worse. Imagine working for RM and having your performance measured against dodgy panelist data.0 -
Currently resting but I have had experience of wrong R number stickers sent to me in the past. Just do as previous posters and the guidance says0

To add to the comments above, I had one pre-stamped cube during my trial. An all too easy drop off at the PO. I was expecting the trial to be a bit more varied; most weeks it was an envelope and a jiffy bag.0

Received an item with about 4 wavy horizontal lines through the stamp, no date or time.
When they ask is there a postmark is it classed as one? Not shown in their list of examples.0 -
I say yes with date and time missing but am happy to be corrected if anyone knows better. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
I was wondering about the 4 wavy lines as I had one yesterday! I recorded it as a postmark with time and date missing.
I have also received in the last 2 weeks a large brown envelope folded and sellotaped in half then posted! And also 2 letters where they have stuck the R label that remains with you as the poster on the R number sheet!! I was still able to enter the R number but it was still sent wrong!
I think there should be a comment box where you can enter queries re items received when you enter them so I could mention the above. I also had an item which had a 2nd class stamp on which according to the schedule should have been a parcel stamp! No buying toiletries challenge - possibly for most of 2011,2012,2013,2014,2015!
£1 in sealed pot for each UU (2011 135/500:D) 2012 have UU 130/400 (never realised I had a mini chemist under my bed!!!) :rotfl:2013 UU 156/350. 2014 UU 197/250 2015 UU 16/100
