Posting this incase anyone else is doing it 'wrong' re Smarts?
As there seems to be a shortage, I decided to return all spare Smarts, with the result I didn't have the one I should use for posting next week. I emailed and said I'd been a bit previous and had a reply telling me what I should/shouldn't do re Smarts, but I was interested to read this (I've been doing it the other way around!)
'If the SMART Status column is blank, the item is a non-SMART item and should be prepared and posted without a SMART. Please always follow your online schedule in this regard, even if your printed posting plan says “Add SMART”.'0 -
I know nobody can do anything about this but I am SO hacked off! Had an e mail from the survey people the other day asking about a cube parcel that I should have had - well, I hadn't received it and they got back to me saying that the fool who was meant to have posted it at the PO had in fact squashed it into the mail box :mad::mad: then today the dreaded e mail that my address has been compromised and I'm removed from the panel immediately! Not even my fault! I am really upset about this :(:( especially because it's permanent and through nothing that I did. I know this is a long thread but has this happened to other people?
They don't make it clear what I have to do with the stuff I already have to post - do I just dump it?
Did I mention I was hacked off?

Poor you, they're letting so many dummies on the panel these days it seems to be happening more often. If and when it happens to me I'll be recycling the stamps, returning the smarts and then dumping the rest. If you've got a friend or family member nearby you could re-register pretending to live at their postal address.0 -

Oh dear VF - My PC feels redhot with your anger!
Yes unfortunately this has happened many times to other people & they feel as frustrated as you especially as it is not your fault but that of one of the cretins who are allowed to take part in these surveys.
I am continually amazed at what both myself and other posters here have received at times but you have to be careful what you tell TNS otherwise you can also be removed from the panel.
Have you tried joining this panel - get paid in cash rather than stamps & much better organised

Thank you for your kind replies m1kjm and redagila. I'm feeling better about it today - it was not in any way my fault or I'd be kicking myself! I agree about some of the half-heads who are allowed to take part in this process - I'm sure there should be some kind of test to root out the truly stupid before they even start!
Thanks for that link - I'll look into that right away:beer:0 -
I thought that was what the training was for - clearly it doesn't work! All it does is annoy those of us who've done previous stints on the panel.VitaFortunato wrote: »I agree about some of the half-heads who are allowed to take part in this process - I'm sure there should be some kind of test to root out the truly stupid before they even start!
Mind you - the training doesn't stretch to cubes and larger - presumably because there would be the extra admin of sending people the L2S vouchers for it. Maybe there should be a pre-stamped cube as the last test for training.I need to think of something new here...0 -

Sorry, not agree with your comment for this. I did have to post one cube while in my training and got paid the vouchers.
I do agree with there are some not so smart pannellist around. I once received an item with wrong smart and information label. I wonder whether they check the Postcode on the information label matching with the posting address?0 -
I just received a Smart that hadn't been registered by the sender. I've no way of entering online that I've received it so I will just pop it in an envelope and send it off to Smart Land :-)
No wonder they are always running out of Smarts .......0 -
This has been the case for as long as I have been on the panel. The online schedule is most up to date and if the SMART column is blank for an item then you do not add a SMART.thedogsmum wrote: »Posting this incase anyone else is doing it 'wrong' re Smarts?

You never return SMARTS to TNS unless they ask you - check the website on Fridays and if there are SMARTS to be returned then the "Return SMARTs" button will have turned red

I would email TNS with details of the item that contained the SMART so they can remove it from the schedulecherie1122 wrote: »I just received a Smart that hadn't been registered by the sender.
