  • One more question please !

I had a parcel to post today, and the written paper posting plan said "Add Smart".

I looked online and it did not say what SMART to use. I then proceeded to click on it and mark it as "prepared for dispatch". It simply did this - without asking me what SMART card I attached to the envelope.

I then marked the parcel as dispatched today. The website never asked what SMART card I attached. So as far as the website is concerned, this SMART card is still in "my stock" - yet the written paper instructions told me to add a SMART - so I have..... The box on the website that usually tells you what SMART to attach is simply blank.

    Hi

Lately, I've chosen which SMART to add myself. (The Post Plan just says add SMART. Sometimes the online Post Plan says which SMART to add)

I'm a bit confused, did you add a SMART? if you did, did you input the details of the SMART?

So I added a SMART. I randomly picked one.
USUALLY you then input on the website which SMART you picked.

However it never asked me which SMART I picked. I have therefore dispatched a parcel to another person whilst, as far as TNS are concerned, the smart is still in my possession (It's not - as I posted it..)

The online post plan did not say which SMART to add.
The paper post plan said to Add a SMART.
There was no option online to say which SMART I picked. The online post plan shows an empty box even after I have dispatched the item (and marked it as dispatched).

I would suggest you email TNS with the explanation you have told us - seems there was a glitch but, in any case, they will be able to amend the posting details.

OK, TNS left hand and right hand obviously not communicating.

Last week I received my "last posting pack" for this week.

Checked on line this morning and it is showing a further 4 items for next week. :o

Same here. Received "last posting pack" with presentation stamps. Have one letter to post this week and thought that would be my last. As a result of your post I checked online and have 4 to post next week! Not received posting pack for them yet though.

The red card says 2 items. So if it's the posting pack split into 2 (because one is a box to be made up) , they will go through.
And it was the posting pack... split into 2 because there was a CD/DVD box... both of which went through the letter box on re-delivery.

Is it worth telling TNS this is why yesterday's item will go the week after?
I need to think of something new here...

Posting pack arrived this morning. I do still have some SMARTs as I was waiting in case some more arrived before sending them back - as instructed to do in the "final post pack" communication.

If the website did not say Add a SMART for that item then you do not add a SMART, the website is more up to date than the paper schedule they send you with their posting pack. You need to email TNS and tell them what you have done because the recipient of the item will not be able to log the SMART you enclosed when they receive it (because you did not input the SMART details online). Hope that makes sense :)
