It was my son's birthday on Tuesday 12/1/2016. A family member posted two cards for him on Sunday 10/1/2016; both with 1st class stamps and the cards were the correct size not to warrant large letter stamps. One card arrived on Tuesday 12/1/16 but the other one was delivered today. The card today had post mark with a date of 11/1/2016.
is there anything I can do with regards complaining to RM and would I get any compensation ?
Thanks0 -

Hi
You could email them but posting on Sunday is leaving it a bit late. I'd have posted the card on Friday or Saturday. They mght send you a packet of stamps.
A couple of weeks ago I posted a jiffy back to my sister, first class. I thought it was lost in the post be she received it about 10 days later:T:rotfl:Sealed Pot Challenge No 089-Finally got a signature.:rotfl::j0 -

I will still complain; even if means my family member gets it.0

It's definitely worth complaining, otherwise nothing is done.
Our postal service for the past few weeks has been abysmal. Cards either late arriving, or not getting there at all, even though stamped first-class. A friend's hospital appointment never arrived.
I know that we have just had Christmas (with all the extra post), but I've never known the postal service to be so poor!0 -
Ok - wrong date but the mail wont be going anywhere between my posting and the last (and first collection) of 9am!! I have even just tried to day I posted at 5am on 13th and it still tells me my entry is invalid and that is the correct day of posting and prior to last collection so I still cannot enter the information!
I post some items late at night to save me getting up early. I used to say they were posted @ 00:30 when the queried why and I told them they asked me to enter 07:30 as posting time, they have always excepted this.
so your solution is to post after the last collection and say you posted at 7:30 the next day.GONE ENGLAND0 -

Is my item guaranteed to arrive next day?

Guess your son's card was one of the 7%0 -
