I received a jiffy bag today with first class (£3.30) postage on it. Underneath the stamp, in biro, is written '(overstamped by customer)'. I assume this was written by a RM employee and means there's too much postage on it?

Then don't be surprised if they send you a posting pack anyway.

To be sure, you need to give them at least 4 weeks notice ...

.. and the maximum holiday period you can specify is 3 weeks.

I really needed 24 or 25 days but it wouldn't accept this so had to trim it by 2 or 3 which meant I was posting on the day I went (despite leaving home for the airport, going by train, well before 9am) and had the possibility of items to post on the day I returned although I wouldn't be home until about 5pm.

As it happened all went well.

If you intend to be away for more than the 3 weeks shown on the holiday booking page, phone the helpdesk and let them know. The extra time can be added by them. I know as I have done that before.

I don't know if it is possible to add more than one period of holiday to your holiday list, but it may be worth trying to book one holiday booking followed immediately by a second.

I have received an envelope today that wasn't even sealed! The sticky seal hadn't been removed and the flap wasn't stuck down. I am amazed the smart inside was still there!

I received a call from TNS yesterday querying an item I posted during my training period. RM were querying the last collection time I entered. I explained despite of what RM may say I go by what is shown on the posting box and TNS agreed with me.

Also as the training items contained cardboard smarts I did not think they were being counted for the purpose of the survey. Obviously that is not the case.
  • If you are on holiday for more than 3 weeks you definitely need to contact the helpdesk. I have done this in the past and they sort it for you. HTH

I received a Church Times newspaper with r number and smart. Inside was a compliment slip saying this is a test item on behalf of TNS. Please return envelope and all enclosed items next Friday. There is no address to return it to and an A5 window envelope. I have no idea what I am supposed to return...to where and in what. Do I pay for the postage and claim it back. It won't fit in the A5 window envelope as it is a full newspaper.
