Thank you, I was nearly going to hang onto it, but then thought oh as long as one of the items contains a smart it should be fine as they are going to the same address. But after I posted it I then thought uh-oh I think I maybes should of hung onto it. It was too late by then! I have popped the smart into tomorrow's parcel though.

    from the training guide
If the online posting schedule is asking you to ‘Add SMART’ but you have no SMARTs in stock that you can allocate then please hold on to the item and wait until you receive one directly from TNS or in an item received from another panellist.

I've just posted a cd/dvd package in a normal post box.....it fitted ok...
I sent my first one this morning. Like a previous poster I had to improvise by putting the R-Number label on a blank sheet and then tape up the package (the pre-applied sticky wasn't sticky enough).

Different types of post box have different size slots. I found that it wouldn't fit in the traditional pillar box nearest my house but it did go in the wall box near work. I think the newer pillar boxes also have larger slots - that's the 1980s plastic looking ones which are cylindrical rather than the cast iron ones with a cap.

None of them are big enough for a cube though
I need to think of something new here...

I have revieved a reply to my queries about the response services envelope, however they doesn't address the probelm.

One tells me is that items to be posted at the post office should be put in the box rather than handed over the counter unless it is too bid to go in the box.

The other says I can just post it in the post box.

So I shall duly post it in the box without stamp or postage marking as advised.

I have recieved a box with an R sheet and one with the R label on a blank sheet so it seems to be a common problem. Maybe the person sending them to panelists is forgetting to put the sheet in.

[a] and are the same - unless you are saying it is too big to go in the post box.

"Response Service" means that it won't have a normal postage stamp. "Response Service" is not only for those which have printed markings but also Freepost. I've lost track of whether you confirmed that it didn't include "Freepost" as part of the address.

Possibly silly question about an item of received post - I got one today in a window envelope, with the address visible but my name completely cut off. I take it that's a 'no' for the addressed correctly question on the input form?

If I remember correctly when it asks if it is correctly addressed it shows you how it should be addressed, I don't recall the recipients name been on this.

If all the information shown next to the question is visible then I would answer it as "Yes", after all your name not been visible would not have affected the service provided by Royal Mail.

I second what Damio has said....

I think that question is more geared around the handwritten addresses where there may be either a wrong spelling or incorrest number written.

Ah yes, you're right, it doesn't ask about my name, and yes, it doesn't affect the service provided by the Royal Mail, I should have thought of that :) Thanks, I've entered it as correct.
