a query is usually generated when the corresponing entry is input and does not match or takes longer than expected...ie if I input that I send you a letter today and you input that you receive it on saturday then a query might be produced to ask you if you input the correct date for receipt...if you dont log your post on the day of receipt then that query wont be picked up until you enter the received day IYSWIM

If a panelist only enters data once a week then the queries can take longer to filter through so thats one reason to keep on top of data entry.

Sometimes queries are sent seperately by email and not via the red box on your info page and they can be several weeks "out of date"....but from memory I cant recall having a query on an item over a month old.
I usually keep received post for 2 weeks and then shred.

That is handy to know, and is exactly what I wanted to find out. My memory isn't very good so I need to keep incoming mail (or notes about it) as a reminder. I just don't want to keep that information too long.

Hey all, I recently received my starter pack and schedule, I had a small white envo to post today and a Jiffy bag to send tomorrow. On the schedule it said next to each one to 'add smart' well I received one smart on Friday and have put it into one of the items to be posted. I posted the envelope one earlier, was I suppose to have waited for another smart so they each contained one? Or was I just meant to put the smart into any one of the items to be posted? I'm confused. Plus exactly what am I supposed to receiving? I don't want to miss anything, but we do get quite a bit of junk mail often.
    Many thanks 😀

    Hi

Yes, a SMART should be added to each one. Did you receive another SMART to add to other one?

I only received one smart so just assumed it was to go inside just one of the two items I have to post, so was a bit confused. I didn't want to be late posting it so I panicked and posted it without at the time it stated.

You will find it useful if you look at the faq on the website as answers to most queries can be found there.

Thanks, I had a little look on there but I couldn't find the answer. I was going to ring them until I realised they closed at 1pm.

Okay, I'm a returning panellist and have the same problem as several others - only been sent one training SMART when I need two. I am going to hold the second item over until the same day next week and I have emailed them to say that. Probably didn't really need to email but I'm hoping it will nudge them to send me more training SMARTS. There really is no excuse for them not having enough training SMARTS - its a bit of cardboard !!!!!!!

This is my third stint on the panel and its not off to a good start, if I start getting a lot of parcels then this will be my last time on the main panel - I don't live near a post office and only go into town once a week. The survey seems even more chaotic than usual with the influx of new panellists, TNS need to sort it out.

Sorry just looked on the faq myself and realised it didn't really help you.

The usual thing to do if you don't have a smart to go in an item which needs it, is to wait for one to arrive and then include it in the letter and post it the following week on the allocated day.

Hope that make sense to you.

Don't get yourself het up. You will realise if you read this thread that TNS are not the best organised and quite often it is better to just use your own common sense for how to handle a situation if you can't find an answer on their website or manual.

Thank you, I was nearly going to hang onto it, but then thought oh as long as one of the items contains a smart it should be fine as they are going to the same address. But after I posted it I then thought uh-oh I think I maybes should of hung onto it. It was too late by then! I have popped the smart into tomorrow's parcel though.

I found last week that the training pack arrived, then I got some received envelopes to log in that contained the training smarts a while later. I think they arrived the day before I needed to use them, so I couldn't prepare the envelopes till the night before which was a bit of a pain. It all seems a bit short notice at the moment.
