I've also received a letter containing £2 L2S vouchers for posting a parcel.
Currently doing unaddressed mail survey and have checked FAQs, but not sure whether to include charity bags when they arrive. Does anyone know please?0 -
I always do and haven't been told not to.0

Just received an email saying i am due to post a medium parcel in the next couple of weeks and attached were some instructions basically explaining how to put some tape onto it to seal it.
At first i had the thought of "we're not all as useless as TNS" but now i'm thinking with some of the stupid mistakes people are making at the moment surely they would need step by step instructions0 -

Ive received 2 parcels recently where 1 used some small bits of sellotape that didnt really hold it together and the other just folded the flaps in and used nothing to secure it.
A bit of parcel tape is all it takes...but an email explaining how to seal the package is welcome and long overdue I thinkfrugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

I've received them in both them ways but I've also received a couple held together with the extra white sticky labels from the posting packs, i'm surprised the Post Office even accept the ones that aren't held together with anything.
Sadly sometimes regardless of how well / poorly packaged they are Royal Mail still destroy them, I have CCTV footage of a postie stamping on a small box in order to fit it through the letterbox, i was in the house and he never even knocked.
Hopefully they'll send out an email explaining how to send packets too, that seems to be the most common error people are making.0 -

I had to buy tape to do the boxes so i am happy they are giving £2 extra in L2S vouchers. I have had boxes folded as well.Jan Wins: .0 -

That is a point, Thankfully i already have loads is a'm an eBay seller so bulk buy my packing materials however i can see why people who do not usually send parcels would be a little adventurous looking into ways of doing it without buying tape, after all why should we be expected to purchase things in order to participate?
If anyone's wondering where to grab some cheaply then pound shops usually sell 2 rolls for a quid or the L2S vouchers are valid in WHSmith or The Works who both sell parcel tape fairly cheaply a roll of 66M will do around 100 parcels so it's really not that expensive..0 -
I used to receive loads of items with the date and time they were to be posted pencilled on the front. I emailed TNS to complain about it because it would look so obvious to the postman and other staff. They emailed back saying they'd look into it but wouldn't hurt to send a memo saying not to do it!
I wish there was somewhere to record the condition of the big brown envelopes which the test items are received in. Because they are quite bulky if they have jiffy bags in most of mine get bashed or damaged/torn - ironic really!
I think it would be much more useful if they didn't use exactly the same style of jiffy bag, box and big brown envelopes. I am pretty sure any postman who has been working for more than a few months will realise what these are. And if you stop to think about it you will also wonder why all these small envelopes which should just have a letter have a bouncy thick bit in the middle
Especially if you work in the sorting office and notice all these parcels which look exactly the same going to the same address week after week
Also my name is written as Mr X Smith; I never receive any other letters with my name in this form.0 -
