What do you usually do with a jiffy to post with paper and cardboard inside at the Post Office please?

Does it go in the post box out side? Or Handed over the counter? Or doesn't it matter?

Always post in the box outside if it is large enough to accept it.
  • Two items received today. One was a jiffy bag without either the extra paper or the cardboard insert, so it's just a flat, light envelope with a £3 stamp on it. The other had the sticker showing the receiver number stuck on to the SMART, covering the label with the SMART's ID.

One of the reasons I'm on the panel is that I had problems with my post in the past, so I like the idea of helping Royal Mail to improve and of them being held to account over their performance, but I'm really start to doubt how reliable any of this survey data actually is. If people can't even fill an envelope, can they be trusted to record all the other info correctly?

i agree with sending them an email so they can maybe remind the panelist of what they are supposed to do

...i have had the jiffy bags without the extra sheets of paper a few times myself but never the reciever sticker on the smart that is supposed to go on the white piece of paper.

..i did have one coloured in with purple felt tip pen that meant i could hardly read the code on it

I used to receive loads of items with the date and time they were to be posted pencilled on the front. I emailed TNS to complain about it because it would look so obvious to the postman and other staff. They emailed back saying they'd look into it but wouldn't hurt to send a memo saying not to do it!

I wish there was somewhere to record the condition of the big brown envelopes which the test items are received in. Because they are quite bulky if they have jiffy bags in most of mine get bashed or damaged/torn - ironic really!

I've wondered why we cant record this myself before, they are more likely to show signs of been mistreated than a standard envelope, for example.

The big brown envelopes arrived torn almost every week but i suppose it doesn't help when they try to force them through a letterbox which is clearly nowhere near large enough before knocking on the door :T

I've just discovered that the jiffy bag I'm due to post tomorrow has a damaged stamp, should I still post it?

I think it depends how much you think the stamp is damaged...if it were me I would post it as theres nothing to say that any stamps that go through the royal mail system dont come out the other end a little worse for wear.

Just received £2 L2S vouchers from TNS with a letter saying these are to bring them upto date for items between !st Jan and 28TH Feb, it also says you will receive the £2 vouchers for EVERY Smallbox/cube item or bigger, not just the APL ones... this must be correct as i have not been required to send anything by APL yet
