I am now in the 5th month and my observation is that they seem to be sending out more stuff to post out. A normal week is now 5/6 items to be posted, whereas at the beginning it was 2/3. As this is my first time on this panel, I am wondering is this the 'norm' or have RM recently increased the amount of mail to be posted out.
My general comment as a 'newbie' is the training 'weeks' don't reflect typical posting schedules and perhaps they should.0 -
I've been on the panel for two years and have always averaged at least 5 items a week (got 8 one week, that is too much!). I agree that training does not adequately prepare panellists for the proper survey, TNS are useless!I am now in the 5th month and my observation is that they seem to be sending out more stuff to post out. when you are sent anything to post the only thing you should be doing when preparing the item is inserting a smart if required and affixing the R label to the top sheet of paper...you should not be removing any of the paper which is included for weight or the cardboard inserts which are included to pad out the item.
These items are usually located within the envelope whe you receive them ...and there they should stay.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

Thanks but neither the paper or card were in the jiffy bag. It was all loose inside the much larger envelope. Someone must have slipped up as one of my 3 smart tags does not have a number on it either.0 -
I think they put people on the panel for about 9 months overall. There is the invite and then the training stuff arrives about 1 month later. 2 months roughly of training and then 6 months on the panel.
I am just finishing after a 3rd stint, this time i started in November, added to my stamp stockpile nicely!Owner of a cute cottage in the North York Moors :j0 -

If you read through this thread you will find that occasionally letters arrive with insufficient postage but you can claim this back if it does happen. Must say, I have been a member for a number of years and have never had it happen to me.
Word of warning, you may not be selected as a member immediately, depends if there is a vacancy in your postcode.
