Did anyone else get the email about having to pay postage for parcels ourselves and receiving Love2Shop vouchers? I'm not thrilled with that idea, it could get expensive!

I dont quite follow how you think it will get expensive..

The email clearly stated that if you are required to pay for the postage L2S vouchers will be included with you pack to cover the postage...they printed a table of postal prices and it did appear that the level of vouuchers sent would be greater than the cost of posting...

I assume this will be adjusted to reflect the rise in postal prices that are planned for next month...however if this is not the case anemail or phonecall to the panel usually sorts out any errors or miscommunications.

Additionally the email said that at the end of the month a further £2.00 of L2S vouchers would be sent to you to compensate additional time etc...

the maximum you ever have to do this whole panel for is 6 months...if you are unhappy with the renumeration you receive you can deline the invitation to return

This was how the previous parcel survey worked which was run separately from the usual survey.

I have not received any email about doing this - is it now compulsory on the usual survey or can you decline to take part in it?

Hi red...I think the updated parcel element is being rolled out from april....its been tested by a few areas and now is to become part of the tasks....i dont think you can decline per se...but its only one or 2 items within the 6 month period I believe...

    Hi there,

I have tried to sign up a couple of times now and it has said I can participate, but I have never heard anything back after filling out the online form. I put "Internet" as the reference, am I doing anything wrong??

Sounds fine to me. The waiting time is likely to be months, or perhaps even years.

As Fruit has said...it can take a long time to be offered a place...
Once you fill in the online questionaire you may be offered a place if there is space or placed on a waiting list for spaces to become available

Personally I waited 18 months to join...infact I had forgotton I had applied and was surprised they contacted me....others are picked up more quickly but there is no way of finding out how subscribed your area is.

Thanks LEJC. I used to do the parcel survey and didn't really find it a problem. although for the large parcels then I did need to use the car.

Don't see why people are complaining as you receive extra vouchers for it.

There seem to me to be more people wanting free stamps but really don't want to actually do much activity for them.

TNS are incredibly useless, and they seem to be getting worse and worse.

There's a missing envelope so I phoned them. You'd think, wouldn't you, that given their very restricted opening hours they'd answer the wretched phone? But no, they don't bother. So you email them and it takes several days to reply, if they reply at all.

How much are Royal Mail paying these clowns, I wonder?

The vouchers are fine if you have a use for them, but I'd prefer to have the cash in my pocket to be honest! I suppose I'll treat it like a mini savings plan for Christmas.
