Arh so it's one of the less stressful boards because we do most of the work :rotfl:

We link the daily/weekly/once only comps to the correct sections so you can copy & paste

We search for links, ask people to amend wrong titles & try & suss out self promotion & if we find it make the report our self. We also find the dupe comps & send pm's to BG's so they can be merged as well as find comps gone to game over fish them out with the right info for you to correct the info & put them back on the board

Blimey I want to be a BG so I get a rest! :rotfl:

This is what I was actually meaning when I said it would be better for each board to have BG's that only BG for that board, so when the BG's have time to come online & do some BGing, they could watch the comp boards, watch the comps being listed & correct the titles, do the merges there & then them self, make the self promotion reports them self I.E easy to spot ones which are most of them & leave the not so sure ones to others, put the links into the correct place, daily's, weekly's, once only's them self

It's one of the less stressful boards because the work the BG has to do is fairly routine in nature. On other boards you may well need specialist knowledge and on some of them you would have to deal with what can be very sensitive issues.

Why on earth would a Bg want to be on and just watch the comp board? That would be so dull most of the time.

The one thing this board has unlike many of the others is the volume of threads posted and given we are looking at them to enter the comps it doesn't take much effort to report dupes etc.

What a Bg is really for is to watch out for things like harassment and illegal content. To pour oil on troubled waters (without then also throwing a lit match...)

A BG would not be on to just watch the comp board, but they could do more of it if it was their only board. What do we do? we watch the comp board for comps to be listed to enter, which would be just the same as a BG then they could do all of the above them self instead of others sending Pm's to get stuff done.

If BG's are only volunteers. Surely an active comper/member would be great to have as a BG? No?
