Now into 19th week since applying and 13 weeks since assessment. Phoned DWP this morning and they still havent received my report from Atos. DWP say because its a new benefit and Atos are really busy with claims its taking a bit longer than expected but as soon as my report comes in it will be sent to the decision maker.
:(:(

I have now phoned Atos to find out whats going on. I have been told they required more information and my report was worked on yesterday. They say i should hopefully hear from the DWP next week. Dont know if its a good thing or a bad thing that they required more info about my meds. Ive got a feeling i am going to be refused.0

Phoned dwp - said the report is with decision maker, been near 3 weeks with the decision maker, guy on phone sounded like a robot, flat tone and emotionless and "you can look for work at www dot gov dot uk forward slash...." at which point i hung up on the fool.
More waiting then and nothing i can do about it.Owed out = lots. :cool:0 -
Congratulations to the few that have finally had a result for their PIP. Phoned DWP today and was told to phone ATOS - I had my assessment 5 weeks ago. ATOS said that they have got the report back from the assessment and it is currently at the audit stage (really not sure what that means) but they are anable to give a response to length of time because everything is being done in date order. So far waited 15 weeks since DWP received my returned application form - and it still looks a long way from being over0

Well I've applied for PIP (live in Manchester) and its taken since July 17th for them to send me a form to complete (received it last week) not had assessment yet or decision so it seems I'm going to be waiting till next year! I wouldn't mind but I was already on DLA, applied for it to be updated it was delayed / lost in the post / lost at their offices (unsure which) and so it was logged as being 3 days late hence the new PIP claim. Lost my car and everything, plus my bus pass has expired and they wont update it till i get PIP so I'm completely housebound till they make a decision!
Wouldn't mind but I'm a wheelchair user so will def get the mobility side of it it's just the care side needs assessing! .... Well you never know knowing ATOS they may come back and say no:rotfl:Thank you to all competition posters, your :A:A0 -

This is definitely not the case for all wheelchair users.
If you cannot stand (on at least one biological foot) - you get enhanced rate mobility.
If you can get up out of your wheelchair, and walk 21m, using a stick, crutch or prosthesis (if this would be reasonable in their opinion, even if you do not use them) (using at least one biological foot), then you may not qualify on that alone.
As long as you can do this several times, perhaps needing a rest between, without severe discomfort or risk of health, you would need additional points somewhere to get enhanced rate mobility under PIP.0 -
I wonder what would happen if a DLA claim ran out before they had made a decision, even if you had returned it in plenty of time (according to them) would they pay the DLA until the PIP decision or would it just stop?Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0

5th of this month is before the 28th of this month.
So, you will, even if living in the right areas, be reviewed for DLA.0
