Well just got off the phone and still waiting for a decision to be made. Usual thing back log etc ring back in a week. No chance I will be ringing on Monday and every day till I get a decision
  • I've given up for the weekend... I must have called them about 20 times in the past three weeks, I would call again but I'm scared they will say I'm being a pain in the behind and drag it out Even longer for badness. Thank you for suggesting that, I am very grateful, I'm also on a facebook page for help with benefits which is why I posted my "arrggh" comment in the wrong place lol I was saying on there that this is like living in some dwp virtual reality game where they torment the life out of you and tell you absolute rubbish. No one has a clue what they are talking about in the call centre, I feel sorry for them as they must be taking the brunt of people's anger constantly, I try and be nice so they will be helpful but it's very hard when your being fed nonsense every time you phone xx
  • Good luck redjan, I really hope your persistence pays off and you get the reward you are entitled too :-) x

im a bit panicky after my f2f yesterday cant sleep and IBS is playing up bad :(, she spent 15-20mins asking me when i was diagnosed by my GP , all dates, when i went to see my therapist (bear in mind this spans over 8 years) who i saw, when i went my GP, was it him or the other 5-7 people (different GP's/ community mental health nurses/ therapists) ive seen over the years, when medication was issues first , looking back i was totally confused and cant even remember what i said properly. Just remember her saying 'if it all matches up with your GP, ect ,there will be no problem'

But she was asking all dates and i cant even think if they were 100% right :(:(

should i call DWP monday and say this, i feel worse than ever since yesterday , feel like I have flu, but i know i dont ;( , i dont need this. do u think she did it on purpose to confuse me knowing i would get it wrong so they can stop my dla? just cant stop thinking about it since.

I was also told when i asked if my CBT therapist had been contact that they wouldnt be as it wasnt required as they just need to know how i was effected daily .. ??

I know how you feel after my assessment which lasted 20mins I was confused as it wasn't very organised the woman started off explaining that she had to write about how my condition affects me she had a list of 4 things she wanted to cover (they were the 4 areas that I don't have problems with) then she said describe your typical day I got as far as what time I wake then because of stiffness my oh brings me a cup of tea in bed whilst he gets himself and our daughter ready for school that's it!! she then changed the subject and said I have everything I need so I could go. I did not see what she wrote I left feeling like id not had my say on how it affects me I needed this as my form was not as detailed as I would have liked due to not being able to write more than a few words and my oh was not very good at writing down the issues either. as far as im aware they have not contacted any of my consultants doctors physio. Im beginning to think it will be a no when I get my decision. although she made comments suggesting that I should get a home visit next time and that I meet a higher descriptor for mobility. she did not physically examine me.
I hope you are feeling better I think this last part is the worst bit.
