Rang Athos again and told still in auditing. Asked how long it will be was told the guidelines they had been given for february was 4 weeks but not to read to much into that. Asked about travel expenses and was told they are being looked at in the first stage whatever that means. Time to stop being nice now letter of complaint being sent to athos and MP but dont hold much hope of it helping as our MP is a conservative MP

Just to say that my MP is a Conservative and has been absolutely brilliant so fingers crossed yours can help you with Atos. I had my travel expenses back pretty quickly and I'm sure that having an MP involved has helped every aspect. Good luck to you.

Here's a new one just rang DWP about my ESA being suspended (also awaiting pip) and was advised I quote" contact your local food bank if you have no money" are they for real???
  • I chased DWP this morning. They told me that they had given themselves a deadline of today for my report to be passed to a decision maker which could then take up to 3 weeks depending on whether any aspects of the report were too vague. Seeing that my assessor was constantly praising himself at his thoroughness I will be livid if it is vague in any way!
I was also asked which account I would want any money paying into if the claim was successful and advised to call back next Wednesday for a progress update.

Had a reply to my email from Brian Pepper at atos apologising for the delay and promising to have look at my case and get back to me as soon as possible. Lets see if he is true to his word. Fingers crossed he will be and this will get sorted.

You need to look at their criteria- under the new rules,it doesn't matter what you have but how it affects you. Look at the criteria and see how you fit into it. You need 8 points for standard rate and 12 for enhanced.
When I filled in my application, and went to the assessment, I 'spoke to the criteria' as that is the only thing that now is relevant

This is what you need for completion of forms and attending the assessment

I finally got the letter informing me of the DWP's decision. I have been awarded PIP for the daily living component but not for the mobility component. The backdated money went into my account the same day the letter arrived.

I applied in September last year, so for me the timescale has been seven months. It probably would have taken longer than that but I got rather fed up and wrote to my MP, who complained to ATOS on my behalf, and that hurried things along. For anyone else suffering delays, I recommend writing to your MP.
  • :( Hi been waiting 10 weeks, phoned DWP and they said up to 16 weeks but was informed by carer group that it can take up to 6 months... Not contacted atos, would they inform you that they have received the PIP application.
