P.I.P. timescales...

Hi looking for some advice I applied some time ago had assessment on 1st of April since assessment I've been in a real state feel belittled, judged humiliated horrible never again ����

Did something bad happen at your assessment to make you feel this way?

Have you heard back from them yet to say if you have been awarded anything?

I had my assessment on March 9th & only just got my award. Been told what it is & for how long, payment date & amount, but letter hasn't actually arrived yet. Looks like it's taking 6 weeks. Try not to stress although I did...badly x

Yes just felt belittle was told I needed to sort myself out only me can do this nobody can do it for me !!!
I am quite aware of this been trying since I lost my daughter but nearly 8 years on I can't don't go out don't do anything can't even get out of bed most days
Didn't want to go in first place took everything to go I suffer with chronic pain and I'm on very strong pain killers which make me drowsy threw out the whole thing I couldn't stop crying couldn't breath twice she asked if I wanted to stop !!!

Oh wow, thats awful. She should never have told you to sort yourself out, thats bad.

At least its done and dusted now, try not to worry until you have the decision. If its not the one you expect, do a MR and complain about her behavior.

My sister rang today and complained to them explained all that happened lady was discussed and gave her atos number to complain and stated nobody should be treated like this my sister said they was really apologetic & they said case manager was looking at it Thursday my sister was in tears telling them because she was horrified as she's watched me just get worse over the years and to go to in the first place was so so hard I have another for ESA Friday I'm not going
I'm just so upset discusted another person can belittle like that if I didn't need help I wouldn't of gone I've worked since school and lost my job last year due to ill health don't hold out much hope and I will never go to anything like that again

If you have another assessment on Friday for your ESA you'll have to go or they could stop your money

Can your sister or someone else go with you and explain what happened at your PIP assessment. She could take notes for you, I'm sure what happened wont happen again.

Have no idea what goes on at the ESA assessment, I had my award with no F2F x

as skye said you either need to get atos to agree to cancel the appointment or attend.

The DWP treat non attendance very harshly and will terminate (not suspend but terminate) your ESA if you dont attend. If you lose ESA for this reason then also the normal appeal procedures dont apply either, you will have to pass a new ESA assessment before been able to get any payments.

Thank you, really really don't want to go my sister & ex husband are going with me but at pip meeting was told to wait in waiting room I asked if just my sister could just come in she said if I need her we will call her I couldn't even speak at all just couldn't stop crying x

Aww let us know how you get on, I'm sure it wont be as bad as last time.

I have my home assessment today, so nervous.. not doing too good today.
