I should receive the letter tomorrow. As for the decision maker, just remember that the f2f is there for a reason. If DM's are going to disregard what is said there would be absolutely no point in the f2f going ahead. Think positive. I know it's stressful waiting but hopefully tomorrow morning they'll tell you when you ring. Goodluck and please let us know the out come x
Thank you for your advice, its put my mind at rest now. I will be on here first thing letting you all know lol.
Thank you all, for sharing your experiences it really has been helpful x0 -

Hi, thank you i will give them a ring tomorrow after the bank holiday. Did they say how long you would have to wait for your backdated money? I have a feeling im not going to pass the decision makers choice
Hi Gemma,
i would not worry about what the dm says as i was awarded lower rate mobility and i asked for a MR. i was still refused on my MR i asked to speak to the DM he rang me and was speaking to me like i was a child. I said excuse me i am here and i would like to speak. He said i am just telling you my decision. I said so basically you have looked at what the HCP report and have just gone by what she said. He said yes. i said she had lied on the report and he said what they say in the report goes as the are the professional. I said so why the hell do you have to get involved if they have made the decision for you. all he said was that is my job. As you can gather i was not very happy and i am now going to appeal.0 -
Hi everyone received a letter yesterday dated 19th that they have all the info they need and sorry it taking so long but I know they have had the report for 3 weeks now is this a good sign that they are now actually looking at my case?0

I had a phone call today from a lovely lady at ATOS and she told me I had received over 12 points on both parts (well over from the sound of it) and that the DWP had agreed and the letter will be in the post and the back payment will be in the bank soon. It's taken just under 7 months and I didn't need a F2F, I sent in letters from my GP, SW and OT and got my MP to lean on ATOS a bit and job done. I still can't believe it, I guess until I've got the money and the letter it won't be real, of course as a balancer we found out today my 18 yr old daughter has inherited some of the conditions that ended me up being so ill so it's been an emotional roller coaster kinda day, although we caught hers 21 years earlier than we caught mine so are hoping she never ends up as disabled as me.
So yes, my journey appears to be over, I'm officially ill and can now stop having to use food banks and can start to thank whatever random deity encouraged ATOS to believe my medical professionals and not try to prolong things unnecessarily. There is no shame in not knowing; the shame lies in not finding out.0 -

poppy12345 wrote: »That's great news. How ever i must admit that's the first time i've ever heard of Atos ringing. Atos usually send all info back to DWP then it's up to the decision maker to decide. If it was me i'd be ringing dwp to confirm it lol x
well I thought that too but as she only rang to tell me the claim had gone from them and been seen by DWP, and I had to extract the rest of the info by using a combination of hyper-babbling and emotional blackmail and she only told me what my result was stop me talking incessantly and then my husband rang our MP and he confirmed she had been telling the truth.... so it must be true :TThere is no shame in not knowing; the shame lies in not finding out.0
