Spoke to dwp and they received my report Tuesday and said should hear within 3 weeks so fingers crossed0

Thanks all.
My GP was quite cross with the DWP and I think I will be telling them that when they ring. I will also be pointing out that I don't think my consultant will be too happy when I tell him that the DWP still insist I have no medical diagnosis for my back issues therefore they are suggesting he is not qualified! My GP said that i have a valid diagnosis and she cannot understand why they keep insisting I have no diagnoses. I won't be mincing my words when they ring and I will be asking them straight why they have ignored everything I've sent them and also are still referring to a report they were supposed to discredit. I pointed out to the previous case manager that Capita had twisted my words and said I had said I only have one bad day a week when in fact I have said that I only had one good day a week.
What I'm so narked about is that they've basically now called me a liar twice which I'm also not amused about. They seem to overlook the fact that GP's do not routinely prescribe morphine for someone who has no pain issues and also that my consultants department routinely reject inappropriate referrals if they feel the issues are too minor.
I am currently awaiting input from the psychiatry department at my local hospital. I'm hoping they can give me a firm diagnosis as the issue is the only diagnosis on my file at the GP's is depression and the DWP have stated that depression does not affect the activities of daily living (really?! News to me) I have had diagnoses in the past for the other issues but because my GP didn't make them the DWP don't want to know. My doctor agrees that it is likely my past traumatic cancer diagnosis plus another traumatic event has caused PTSD but allegedly they can't confirm that (what? Never mind)
I'm going to put the appeal in anyway and hope and pray I get an appointment with the mental health team soon.*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200 -
That's awful, Mrs_Ryan. No idea why they're bothered about a diagnosis - a diagnosis doesn't matter. Care and /or mobility needs do.
That stuff about depression is rubbish - it does cause needs.
If can you, get someone to help you with the appeal.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

I too don't understand why they are labouring on the 'diagnosis' issue when they consistently advise that it is about care and/or mobility needs, NOT the diagnosis. The process seems very unfair due to the fact that it IS fundamentally unfair when they are applying different interpretations (to put it mildly) of the guidance. It's simply terrible. I know pointing this out doesn't make anything any better for you, but I am rooting for you Mrs R, and I do hope you get the mental health support you deserve.
I got 4 missed calls from a private number this morning. Strongly suspect it was either the DWP or NHS bursaries. Very annoyed but I was on the wards at work and can't take my phone there. Oh well, one more weekend isn't going to kill me. And if it's bad news, I'd rather have a weekend in limbo than a weekend being thoroughly peed off!

Really pleased for you! Your wait is finally over - am sure it's made you feel a heck of a lot better. I felt like a massive weight had been taken off my shoulders when I finally got my result.
Mrs Ryan - cannot believe what DWP are doing to you. PIP has absolutely nothing to do with diagnosis and is only about how you are affected by whatever your health problem is - whether physical or mental health. The rubbish some of these people spout is also unbelieveable. I was lucky that the assessor I had understood what I go through due to his previous role. I feel very strongly that the assessors should be chosen for each individual case and must have prior training in MH or whatever the claimant is suffering from. How can a physio or dental nurse know or understand anything about MH? Please appeal - you need to be awarded what you deserve. Thinking of you.0
