confused - so much to read - what is the process after f2f - do dwp call or write to inform of an award? just been 2 1/2 weeks since f2f 34 plus weeks since application

Now week 38 and got apology letter in post today dated1st August from DWP saying sorry for delay but they had all the evidence they need to make decision and will be in touch asap, 4 weeks since f2f. Well saved me a call to see if they needed anything else from gp as she is leaving for Australia in few weeks.

How long have folk who have had similar letters had to wait for a decision after letter. ?

MR letter received. Still refused. They've ignored everything I've told and sent them. Emergency appointment with GP this afternoon as my mood now plummeted and my partner is worried about me :( don't think I'm going to appeal- they've clearly made their mind up that there's nothing wrong with me so I don't think it's going to get any further. Now I'm just waiting for the letter withdrawing my ESA..

Oh my goodness, I am so sorry. I wasn't expecting that after the last post about how supportive that lady had been. What was her role in this? Did you get her name? I don't see that she's served any other purpose than to make this significantly worse for you, and whether she's aware or not of how she came across, she needs to be informed. She has placed a vulnerable person, in an even more vulnerable position. That, is not right.

Deep breaths. See the doc. Take some time. Get some support. And then consider appeal. Could someone help you with it? It sounds to me as if you shouldn't be doing this any more at the moment. I really am very sorry you've been through this xxx

Tbh, there doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to how the results are coming through. I know people who were assessed after me who have had results. Who knows...

I got my letter from DWP on the 11th July dated the 9th July saying they had received all relevant information and assessment from Atos and sorry but there was a delay but I would hear in due course when it came to the fifth week my daughter phoned and they said it was way past the three week turn around but no further information because there screen didnt tell them too much. She contacted our MP again and at the same time phoned next day to ask to speak to my case manager. They told her she would have a call back in 5 working days that was on Monday afternoon at 4pm. Tuesday morning at 10amm she received a call to say they had looked at my claim that morning and it was a positive outcome but they couldnt discuss anything more than that. A letter would be in the post in the next few days. Next day I had an email from my MP with a copy of the letter DWP had forwarded to him with all the information regarding my claim and the outcome even down to the amount of money and when it would show in my bank. My claim started the 4th December 2013 and my f2f was the 24th June I hope this helps although was told by the gentleman on the switchboard different parts of the country were achieving decisions quicker than other. I hope you hear very very soon and you get a positive result. My claim is awarded up until 23/6/2020

I am so sorry about this but please dont give up. I am also awaiting MR and have already told them that if necessary I will take this to appeal. However, if it does get to that, I am going to the CAB to get them to help as they seem to be able to word things in such a way that it shows more clearly why you need the personal help. I have spoken to a few people who have had numerous declines then been awarded when the CAB have helped them put things in 'DWP speak'. Mental health claims seem to be so difficult to deal with but we have to keep going and fight. If there is anything I can do to help you please just pm me. :)
One thing though, I was finding that the claim process was consuming me and I had to take a step back. Its my daughters claim but the process was making me mentally ill. I actually ended up having a panic attack myself a couple of days ago. I believe that it will eventually all work out and if I have to go a wiggly route round, so be it. You really need to step back, breathe and accept all help offered to see this through. Please look after yourself x
