Just to let you know it took 9 weeks for Nationwide to send our mortgage offer through! Various delays with them going through my financial affairs with a fine tooth comb and then a big delay in Countrywide (who Nationwide use) organising a survey. I was on tenterhooks waiting to see if we would finally get a yes!
Good luck with everything.0 -
Could you let me know how much they offered you with a joint income of £55,000 please.
also which bank your mortgage was given?
and ill also presume this was for a new build property using the government "help to buy scheme"?0 -
Yes it is help to buy and they have given a DIP for £202,000. Is that similar to what you are looking at for yourself0
-
Now we have the DIP I am now worried about the formal application. Is it possible for them to turn the mortgage down once they have accepted the DIP. The reason I ask is that for the DIP we had to submit all the paperwork eg pay slips bank statements cert of discharge etc. they then proceeded to go through it all with a fine tooth comb. So will the full application be easier as they have see documents already0

Update
Just been given the completion date on our new build property . The end if March 2014 so will be doing full application at the end if November .0 -
Update

Hi. Just a quick question. Does anyone know if anyone has been turned down for help to buy phase . Just worried that after all the wait for the DIP that we might now get turned down for the equity loan.0

Update
We have been accepted for help to buy phase one. Do now comes the last hurdle full mortgage application. Our IFA said as they have already gone through everything then there should not be a problem but I am still very worried0 -
Update
Going for the full mortgage application on the 28th. Have to be careful with time lines due to this being a new build and we do not want the mortgage offer to expire. I am keeping my fingers crossed0 -
Could I ask which developer your are buying from?0
