Just to update we have decided to take a chance. The mortgage advisor is coming round on Tuesday to complete a decision in principle. I will update and let you all know how it goes. Keep everything crossed for us.0

Sorry to hear that
Out of interest, and as I have been reading another thread about credit scoring, have you checked all yours at every agency ? If so what are they like ? I would have thought if all green and excellent I can't understand the referral

The consultant said it was due to me having to say yes to the question have you ever been made bankrupt. He put in the box how long this was but it still referred0

Our credit files on all sites are squeaky clean. It seems very unfair that they ask have you ever been declared bankrupt as you have to say yes. Mine was in 2004 so a lifetime ago and well off my credit file. It shows it never leaves you. Anyway I will update as I hear anything. By the way it was with the nationwide so I am feeling a bit positive as I have read positive comments in regard to mortgages with them0

Well all the extra paperwork has been submitted including the certificate of discharge. If any one else has been referred could they tell us how long this part can take .0

UPDATE
Had to send in a copy of my marriage certificate as I was declared bankrupt in my maiden name. The IFA also said that all the bank statements had been accepted, so still a waiting game.0
