Again i would take what TS and OFT say rather than NOBODIES on a public forum..0 -
One last reply and this "nobody" is out as they say.
You do NOT supply Goods so stop referring to the section referring to goods.
Look at the SERVICES section.

Oh and while I'm here
You don't provide a personalised item either, you have selections to choose from, not the same thing.
Quote from CAB,as all my other quotes have been from registered trading companies or the OFT,not NOBODIESPersonalised or made-to-order items
An example of a personalised or made-to-order item includes a gift with someone’s name on it. When you buy a car, if you choose options from a menu, such as an MP3 player or cruise control, these are not classed as personalisation. Personalised elements might mean a bespoke paint colour or alloy wheels designed especially for you.

As you are also a nobody who posts on public forums, am I correct in assuming that any advice you give to others when they ask questions is also worthless, in which case you aren't going to bother in future?0 -

TS will only answer you based on the information you give them.
You also don't know who is on here, there may well be other Trading Standards officers or lawyers or others in the know. Being anonymous doesn't necessarily equal being uninformed..0 -

After posting this little gem, you went very quiet on that particular thread didn't you?0 -

Illegal? Which law is that then?
It may be against policy or T&C, but you do seem to confuse these things with actually being the law.0 -

A small thing call The Data Protection Act.
posting a link that may show some details is totally different if someone takes details from this and then places them on a public forum.0 -

From what I saw yesterday, you were the one who posted the link, with your details on it, on this forum, on this very thread.
Quite rightly you were advised to remove it, but not before hoards of users had been able to see your name, date of birth, full address, telephone number, company assets, companies you work for, ebay details etc etc.
Ironically in the field you work in you really need to be more careful.0 -

but still against DPA to take these details and then place them on a public forum . I have many company and the one in the link is just a holding name which does not have assets apart from the domain.
also the link was just a filesanywhere link to a OFT doc, so others user this link and email to search this business name and then ILLEGALLY publish personal details against the DPA.0
