Me too we are saving to go to stay with our friends in Florida in early spring 2009 and combine it with a stay in the big apple for 4 nights on the way home. It will be our last trip to the US as OH's passport runs out in Dec 2009 and mine in 2010 I object to having to pay £100 each to renew them and OH's free travel insuarnce runs out too..........I will still be covered but will have to pay for OH.

Supper eaten, nice 'large' glass of red wine, now having a cup of coffee just to round things off nicely................

Not much on TV really, not into Grease or Joseph so wating the first New Street Law on Gold................

One thing on ebay sold this afternoon, something else going off tomorrow, both are collect,as difficult to package for posting...................so another £15 for the florida fund.

Have been looking for a particular floor standing frame, found it in the US for £40 including delivery...................price here £79.99 plus £3.95 delivery no wonder we are known as rip off Britian................it will take about 4 weeks, but I do not need it until it cools down a bit.............and the nights begin to draw in.

Jamie: I hope that your bug does not last too long, I had a similar one last year, only affected me though, OH was OK..................lasted a couple of days, but not nice whilst it was hanging around..............

Hi All

Just home having set off to DD's at 9.30 this morning. A bit misty first thing but glorious weather for the Gala. I am a bit red! We creamed up the boys but didn't think about us. DH said it was still rather cloudy this side of the Forth.

Had a fantastic day and boys were really good. I think the highlight of the day was when their Daddy turned on the hose and sprayed them late this afternoon - they thought it was great!! SIL cleaning out rabbit hutch at the time - hope he remembers to redo stuff for the poor wee mite before bedtime! They were settling down to dvds before I left!

We treated ourselves to a carryout for tea - thought about BBQ but decided against it as had to be sure food properly cooked for DD. DD fine today with no backache or BH - just a bit tired so last night a wee wrinkle. She definitely looks lower slung than when I saw her last Sunday! DGS2 has been waking in night this week (remember the big sleep he did for us last Saturday!!!!) so they are feeling it a bit.

Just nipped in - watching Joseph. Hard one to call.

Evening! not been around for a few days due to PC problems, namely DS2 clogging it up with a load of rubbish so its had to be cleaned up by DS1 , seems to be ok so far!:rolleyes:
have had a busy few days at work including a sleep-in but am off now til Tuesday but am off to my service user's Mum's funeral on Monday.
We've just loaded the van up ready to go carbooting in the morning at Hereford and now its time for a soak in the bath and a bit of relaxation:j

Evening all :hello:

A very late one from me today. I've been out all day... first at a friend's party, which consisted of a slap-up buffet lunch followed by an afternoon of drinking wine and Pimms in her lovely back garden in North London. Then I went to a concert at the Barbican which was fantastic.

Tomorrow I have church in the morning and a choir concert in the evening in West London, so as you can see I'm a bit busy I'm just about to put a fruit loaf on to bake for the shared buffet tea tomorrow before the concert - if I don't I'll end up spending lots at M&S tomorrow...

Sounds like lots of you are off on hols. Have a lovely time won't you And big hugs to Jamiedodger and family, that bug sounds horrid.

Oh I forgot to say!!! I've had some financial good fortune, a completely unexpected cheque for over £400. It's a refund from my solicitor for some things they overcharged me for when I moved house. I might email them on Monday to check up that it's not a mistake, but basically if it's right it's a real answer to a prayer because it's just about the right amount to pay for a new laptop! :j :j

Oh my feet are killing me

I went to drop DD off at her show at lunchtime and have just got back :eek: I asked if they needed any help and they said yes so I said I would stay for the matinee performance but then ended up staying for the evening performance too as there wasnt many helpers. I had silly flippy floppy heeled shoes on but had to pop into town inbetween performances and buy some sensible shoes for the evening when will I ever learn :rolleyes: so my feet are throbbing and covered in blisters ( but any excuse for a new pair of shoes :rotfl: ).
DD got the annual senior award for achievement :T im so proud of her and all of her class mates were crying. I was just stood side stage saying to the other mums 'thats my baby'
