    Morning all.

    Just been waxed - ouch.

So rest of the day is free. I do like early appointments.

Florida - my mum and dad are out there now. So are my two sisters and my sister's fiance. one sis is actually working in epcot - so if you're in hte UK section of Epcot you might see her.

    Jealous - moi?

Need to get this house in order - was watching Anthea the other night and I really need to knuckle down to it.

Not too sunny here - hopefully it'll brighten up later.

right - off to butcher for mince (meatballs tonight) and then it's housework

    take care

Just an update - weather beautiful here too. Out in the garden, sprayed the "Cuckoo Spit". DH dodging around, just going to take my cross stitch out and get going.

Happy Holidays everyone, we went to Florida for our 25th when DS was 14, we enjoyed it but none of us bothered about returning. We prefer a chill out relax rather than the US fast-track.

Good Morning! (Don't often type that)

Florida Have a great time to all of those going! We went last summer for 4 weeks and it was one of the best holidays I've ever had. Hopefully we'll repeat the experience in 2 years time, especially if I keep up with my os/mse lifestyle. :D

DD1 is at orchestra, DD1 has blobbed out in front of the tv, DH is getting 2 newish tyres fitted on the car and I'm about to make a potato salad for lunch.
We're going over to my MIL's for lunch/afternoon to do her shopping, tidying up, jobs etc. This has become a regular routine since last September when she insisted on having a knee-replacement operation which didn't go according to plan and has left her less independent than she originally was. It would be easier to cope with if she wasn't such a self-absorbed, negative person who blames everyone else for all of the negative things that have happened in her life. She always seems to point out all of the things DH hasn't done instead of appreciating the things he does do for her. I wouldn't mind but her other son lives about 200 miles away and she sees him about 3 times each year. His wife hasn't spoken to her for the past 10 years as my MIL said some nasty things to her! Sorry to rant on but 19 years of biting my tongue and trying to be positive with her are taking their toll.
Anyway we're back home for tea (hm frozen chicken curry) and Dr Who. :j
    Have a great day!

Good Morning Everyone! well - it's just morning still, but probably not by the time I finish typing! A full week at school - still finding it hard to get to grips with everything that's happened while I've been off sick, but busy busy! Today is now absolutely gorgeous here in norh Essex after a cloudy start so washing drying nicely.
Have had to buy a new mattress today as the one we had (less than 10 years) now has a huge dent and a spring nearly through the surface. I'm cross as it had a 10 year guarantee and I didn't keep the paperwork. GRRRH! Anyhow, looking forward to more comfortable nights shortly.
DH has gone off with a friend today so am about to walk the dogs before visiting the supermarket.
I love hearing about all the holiday plans and I'm sure you'll all have a great time.
    Resolution:
    Think twice before spending anything!

:D My favourite park and we love having fish and chips at the UK section while watching Illuminations and enjoy talking to the Brits that are working there. :j

    Afternoon all!

Very warm and muggy here, and the sky is dull grey. I expect the sun will burn the cloud layer off later though.

It's our village carnival this weekend, so will be going to the Recreation Ground (which is behind my house) in a coup0le of hours.

Have cleaned kitchen, DH emptied and reloaded DW and put it on again, and I'm waiting for it to finish so I can put the WM on. Some days our water pressure is lousy, and if we put both on together, neither of them clean properly iyswim. Am going to clean the bedroom floor in a moment. We have a solid floor, and lots of dust bunnies from our moulting cats. To do it properly I have to get myself under the bed with a brush or damp cloth, and I usually end up in a fit of giggles as it's a very tight squeeze.

Have got enough raspberries to make jam now, so will be doing that later...or tomorrow.

Need to cycle down to the Chemist to get DH prescription. He suffers from gout and has to take stuff every day to prevent an attack.

DH put the trellis up yesterday (looks lovely), and is now levelling the ground and will be sifting soil soon. It's a really tedious job, so I hope he gets it finished today.

Salad for dinner today, not sure what DH will have (doesn't eat salad. Or veg, Or fruit), so will find something in the freezer for him,

Amie good luck with the sandcastles tomorrow. Looking forward to hear how it goes
N9eav congratulations/commiserations on selling your boat.
Hugs to everyone who needs or wants one.

Just got back from Asda's I hate shopping on a Saturday & we only went cos hubby needed a new pair of £3 jeans.
GB, you asked yesterday about how much rent I charge, it's £75 a week, that includes breakfast & evening meal.
Thumper & Ogden are enjoying the warm weather & sitting on the grass.
Hope you feel better soon JD
    Hugs
