What would you buy if you had the money?

Just spotted this....I've been looking at the machines you use at home and they have some good reviews. I'm seriously thinking of buying one. I'd love laser hair removal too and the home machines are a lot cheaper than going and getting it done professionally. Laser hair removal may be in reach??
I read an article on them lately and am also considering it. Apparently there is a good Ebay resale on them, too, so it could again be further in reach.0 -
New windows and doors for sure and the central heating needs updating as my boiler is about 28 years old!
If lots of money then a long leisurely holiday somewhere warm, sunny and chilled out.....sighs....:beer:SPC Nbr.... 1484....£800 Saved £946 in 2013)
(£1,010 in 2014)

A nice amount of money like over £4,000 then I'd be booking 2 adult airfares to Australia to spend xmas with my family as I haven't spent xmas at home since 2003. My now husband could finally meet everyone (he's only met my parents & sister) and everyone could meet our daughter who would be 3 mths old by then (well if she is born on her due date).
Under £4,000 I'd push back the same idea above until beginning of February as it's cheaper.
I do need things doing to my flat, like a new kitchen but at the moment the above idea is on my mind toooo much.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
Can't see it happening any time soon thanks to the freezer breaking down and buying a new one.. but...
I'd have my garden sorted.. cleared, re-designed so its low maintenance.
Then re-floor(?) the house throughout.. new carpets/tiles etc.
Then re-decorate...
Then new sofa's!!0 -

When I was looking yesterday Boots had one of the Philips Lumea models (an older one I'm sure) for £140 which seemed very good.Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -

I'm off to see my family in Aus at Xmas - I hope you can get out there soon and introduce your daughterThough no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -
I'd buy stuff for my DD's that they would like; some new furniture for one dd's new home, a tablet for the dd who is going to Australia and a new car for youngest dd.
A fancy watch for my dh and shoes and a new Mulberry for myself
If we're talking fairly large amounts but not a large lottery win then an overhaul of the rooms in my house that need them. That would include total re-decoration and new furniture along with a new downstairs loo/shower to replace what's there and is old.0 -
A Spitfire... and some flying lessons.0

Depends on how much we're talking about.
If it was a couple of grand I'd have laser eye surgery (which is what I plan to do with my bonus next year if it's good enough).
If it was a bit more than that, we need a new boiler, and the downstairs wet room ripping out (it was installed by the council for a previous disabled occupant before we bought the house and is absolutely grim, like a room in a hospital in a horror movie!).
If there was anything left I'd also have the kitchen extended and a new kitchen fitted.
If there was lots, I'd move to a better house with new neighbours (or preferably no neighbours).
If there was really really lots, I'd give up work and move to Spain and never come back.0 -
An operation to fix my poorly head - it is currently not available on the NHS but Im desperate and it costs 18 grand:eek:I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0
