Just having a look at the tesco CC 'boost' and it says you can use it in Tesco Direct. Will it still just be in the areas that are being boosted, or could you use it for anything at Tesco direct? Anyone have a clue? Cheers!

Would you believe I have not been in a supermarket since last Friday, and wont be till next week.
Had a fantastic weekend camping at Runrigs 40th birthday celebration 'Party on the Moor' last weekend, and away to Glasgow tomorrow till Monday to the World Pipe Band Championships.
I could get used to this gallivanting.

Time to unlurk and give something back.

If anyone wants them PM me. T&Cs apply (but I'll make them up as I go).
I'll give them to whoever I judge has sent me the funniest joke.
    Entries close at 20:30 today.

Sorry for quoting myself. This was the winner (I didn't have alot to work with) ;)

A man was driving with a penguin as a passenger in his car.
The police stopped the driver and ordered him to take the penguin to the zoo.
He immediately took it to the zoo. They both enjoyed the zoo so much that the next day the man took the penguin to the beach.

So now Im calming down and thinking sensibly. Why on earth would I be getting a tax rebate?? Does anyone know much about tax? I earned a few quid last year doing odd pieces of work, will it be because of that?

Might it be that you were on an emergency tax code or that you worked for so many months and paid tax but you didn't earn enough over the total tax year?
Or that for a few weeks you worked 60 hours and then paid shed loads of tax that month but next month you only worked 15 hours per week.
Have you got an end of the year P60 from your employers?
Did you work for more than one place in the last tax year.

I hope you all goes well - sadly though from bitter experience the solicitors drag it our for as long as possible to try and increase their bill

    ...And I'm not done yet.

You might be pleased to hear I'm not finished, though - because, whilst putting up my BM vs T shop, I found quite a few possibly okay-to-good items for Tvs S shopping.

This will undoubtedly expand in due course to become a much fuller Tvs S list:

Method All Purpose Spray French Lavender (828ml)
    £3.00 £2.00
Method Squirt & Mop Floor Cleaner Lemon Ginger (739ml)
    £4.00 £2.00
Tango Apple or Tange Orange or Tango Cherry 6x330ml
    £3.19 £1.59
    T Bakery Eccles Cakes (2)
    £1.00 66p
Spontex Long Lasting Kitchen Cloth (2)
    £3.00 £2.00
    Ace Gentle Stain Remover (1L)
    £1.94 £1.00
Old Spice Deodorant Body Spray Original (150ml)
    £2.90 £1.44
Old Spice Wolfthorn Body Spray (150ml)
    £2.89 £1.44
    Aquafresh Gel-Flex Medium Toothbrush
    £2.55 £1.00

Of course this depends on whether to want to put matters in the hands of T's system as to whether it identifies that Sains. is much cheaper than their prices are on the above items!

Also the following items, which appear to be good value at T's price, but which we hope are N/A for Sains:

    Ye Olde Oak Ham (300g)
£1.00 N/A (also N/A vs A, but do not try this on a Tvs M shop - M do stock this item and I can assure you that M are significantly more expensive on it at the moment!)
Crosse & Blackwell Cream of Chicken or Vegetable Soup (4x400g)
£1.49 N/A (but 4 pack Cream of Tomato moved to Avs T to take advantage of the 10%, also Campbells, mainly Avs T, may be cheaper - and with MOCs)
    Lajkonik Paluszki Sticks (300g)
    50p N/A
I searched on sains.co.uk for the Ye Olde Oak Ham and couldn't find it and did also go and look for it in my Sains - but could not find it. Anyone with it on sains.co.uk, please tell us!

Also these items on which T and S are already price-matched:
Trebor Extra Strong Mints Peppermint (4 per pack, 165g)
    £1.00:( (until 3/9:(:(:() £1.00 (until 3/9:(:()
T Eday Value Nice Biscuits (400g)
    45p 45p
T Eday Value Wheat Biscuits (24x18g)
    94p 94p
And of course the ubiquitous Dr Oetker Gelatine (70g)
    69p 69p
And now also T Eday Value Carrots (1.5kg)
89p 89p (given that Sains. have now brought their price down to the very same price as T) - although this is still above my price guide.

Yogurt Queen, go to google, type in: finding a NHS dentist in .........(wherever your area is). In my case it takes to to the Health trust, which then asks for my post code, and lists up dentists. You may then have to have a ring around, but I am sure you will one. In our area, there isn't a problem.

Also, word of mouth. Have a word with neighbours or work colleagues to ask about their dentist.

Hi Izzey, just found five. Have jotted all the numbers down and will phone in my lunch hour tomorrow. Fingers crossed I will find one. Thank you again. All of you.
