Good evening. I hope everybody has had a good day. Not had time to read back fully yet. But will do so in a little while.

Went to Dentists today. She did a check up. I thought that meant that she was going to check the gap where she'd pulled a tooth out last week. But this was a full check up. Afterwards, she told me I needed the following:

A deep gum clean - £400.00 (yes, FOUR HUNDRED, Not FORTY!)
I needed a replacement root canal in another tooth followed by a replacement crown and filling - £1,900
I will also have to have another wisdom tooth out at some stage (the one she did a filling on).

All in all? I'm exhausted. I'm in pain, not tooth ache, but purse ache!

Today, I only had to pay £43.00 - for two x-rays and a check up.

I think I would be looking to change dentists

I stopped off at Lidl on my journey back - to find no apples or pears packs anywhere near to my trigger point. All way too expensive at the moment. Found some Iceberg Lettuce, at 49p, and Celery, at 49p, but they're both more expensive than Avs M's 50p should be! So, no, 49p is too dear!:rotfl:

I did find however Crusti Croc Rice Cakes Salted (140g), at 49p. There the 49p is quite good compared to others at £1.00 and at 80p - and beats my rice cakes version that's on my T fillers list. I also noticed, in Sains earlier, that Sains-own brand of cough lictus is two pence cheaper than the Bell's versions at Morries. So that's a mistake that is to go for deletion from the M list! (All of 2p. It may of course not make sense if you have a Morries that is much nearer to you than a Sainsburgers.)

  • Following on from a conversation in work today, if you won the lottery jackpot, would you continue your MSE ways?

I'm pretty sure I would. You just don't get the same adrenaline rush paying full price for stuff :rotfl:

It would depend on how much I won. If it was up to about £5million, then yes. I would continue my MSE ways. But any more than that, ie. if I won £80million, then I would probably not bother. I'd have someone doing my shopping for me, while I travelled the world. What to do with Stan? Well, there is a Stylistics song that sums it up for me, with regards to Stan and what would become of him, was I to win the lottery:

That'll be my posts again, clogging up the thread.

My thread though so it doesn't matter;):rotfl::D. Folks - you know I do it, but it isn't done deliberately, and I know I do it too.

In my Spar little local store yesterday they had packs of 5 South African pears for £1 :T not tried one yet - sometimes you have to wait 2 weeks before pears stop being little bullets but this is the best price I've seen for ages.
