  • Good evening. I hope everybody has had a good day. Not had time to read back fully yet. But will do so in a little while.

Went to Dentists today. She did a check up. I thought that meant that she was going to check the gap where she'd pulled a tooth out last week. But this was a full check up. Afterwards, she told me I needed the following:

A deep gum clean - £400.00 (yes, FOUR HUNDRED, Not FORTY!)
I needed a replacement root canal in another tooth followed by a replacement crown and filling - £1,900
I will also have to have another wisdom tooth out at some stage (the one she did a filling on).

All in all? I'm exhausted. I'm in pain, not tooth ache, but purse ache!

Today, I only had to pay £43.00 - for two x-rays and a check up.

    Hi there - good evening!:):)
Shopping for tonight (Svs T) all done:j:j:j. So I can sit back now, and relax! I did a complete mix and match against one of T's 3 for 2 offers. The BM amount I got was not far out - but, then again, my own calculation was from msm (which may be getting these things wrong and calculating a saving (in other words a loss) made at S vs T but not accounting for the 3 for 2 making T cheaper). So my figure may be more, or less, than what it should be. I don't think it worked in my favour though. Anyway, I'll see tomorrow whether S "match the deals" of A and T like they say they do and, if there's anything to report, I'll do so!

Next shop for me is due to be Avs M at the weekend. So I'd better get my own M list onto here so I can find out what to buy;). I'll try and get the carryovers on here soon, which I'll sort out offline at then post straight onto page 1 of this thread. Then I think I'll risk later by returning to the live updating (despite the recent server problems:eek:) and if it all disappears, it disappears - I'll just have to retrieve it and continue as if nothing happen won't I?:p

As of last night, I think I had 500 posts to catch up on (posted since I was last on previously) - in fact, I don't think that, I know it as I'm sure that I have calculated the post number when I left and the post number when I came back and it will, of course, be all caught up with and read in fine detail at some point over the weekend. I must just remember not to allow it to distract me away from my Morries updating task!:rotfl: (Well - I can remember it, that's not a problem, but fighting and successfully resisting the temptation... Well...:rotfl::rotfl:.)

Yes I've had serious words with my OH who still can't grasp the concept that I go into store with a set list to stick by and he can't understand why I go mental when he decides in store that he wants coleslaw, biscuits, stick chips, coke etc.
my little store is very difficult because it never stocks the items I actually need so it always stresses me out.
The other weekend in store i had a very precise list to stick to but OH also wanted the meal deal with chicken pies but our store did not have the pies or mustard mash, then OH went into full rant and I was on the point of tears - so OH finally realised he'd pushed me far too far and we settled on a salad for dinner.
In the end the shop went to plan, all MOCs accepted and only a tiny ammount of real money spent.
Since then he sits in the car and I go around shops myself.
    It's pure joy :T

Evening all! I hope you've all had a great day. Just catching up on what I've missed and I caught this post. When I first started extreme couponing and wombling, Stan used to be with me. He refuses to come shopping with me now at all. I prefer it this way. As when he's with me, we end up with biscuits, cakes and all manner of things we can do without.

He also used to find it very embarrassing when I'd be stooping under cars, rolling under trolleys, and rummaging through hedges, not to mention the odd bin, for receipts! :D

These days, he's often standing at the door - ready to carry my shopping in for me! He's often very surprised at what I come home with. I also do a lot of whoopsy shopping. Very rarely pay full price for anything since finding this thread! If you're prepared to swap brands, try something new, be inventive, you can eat very cheaply!
