I am not surprised she asked you to marry her, on this thread you have come across as a real keeper. I have no doubt that was what her cousin said to your OH.

You really threw yourself into making the visit a success and knew that would be down to keeping the kids happy and making them all welcome. I think you deserve a big pat on the back for that. A lot of men would (with no personal experience of kids) simply have said "hello, lovely to see you" and made themselves scarce. You stepped up to the plate big style.

I've never read a blog but if you do one I'd subscribe.Now you appear to be coming to the end of this one perhaps your wedding arrangements would be a grand next topic.

I'm not quite sure how interesting a wedding thread would be, it is likely to be a very small scale affair. I'm probably quite lucky that even I have been invited!

Suejb2, I'll let you know if I ever start a blog, or indeed whether I actually get around to updating my blog regarding the fantastic novel I have planned. This would, of course, involve actually writing the first page of said novel. I'll get there, eventually!

I am glad my little thread has provided you with some assistance and enjoyment for yourself as well

We had a nice chat last night about what we want to do and some pre-planning of our wedding... never thought I'd be saying that. I'll keep you updated.
