So what are kids into these days?

Thank you.
I don't actually think I'd be that good of a father. Kids who are already out of nappies, out of the ear-piercing screaming phase and toilet trained seem to be fairly easy to deal with, especially when they've already been raised well and are remarkably polite. I really was quite stunned. All of them remembered their pleases and thank you's and the rest of it.
And it was only just over a week as well.
I think I'm too selfish to be a good father. I don't like the necessity of being mature and growing up and all that; I turn 30 later this year and feel rather melancholy about it.
And with my job, and my partner's plan to grind Tesco into the ground by 2024 with her business empire (she has no such plan, I just like to joke about it) I don't even know where you could fit them in. I think they take a bit more care than some dogs who will amuse themselves.0 -
then said I would marry her.
Awww that is fantastic news. Congratulations to both of you :TThe best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0 -

Yes, I must confess it was quite the surprise, especially given how not-so-subtly she had made it clear over the years that she never wanted to be married but well I suppose it just goes to show that people can change.
Found a ring at a local jewelers but it wasn't in her size so I need to wait for them to sort that out for me. She should like it.
I should probably buy her cousin something too, since apparently it was her words of wisdom that resulted in this proposal.0 -

Thanks folks
A tad late now though because they've been and gone. Still, I'm sure there will be a next time0
