How many BGs would make it work?

It's not about how you comp, I have comped several ways but how does having a few days or even weeks of old comps really make much difference to anyone?
It's a low priority task (compared to merging dupes etc) that the BGs can complete at their leisure in a fraction of the time it takes non BGs to do it and with less risk of live competitions going to GO.

The thread you link to contains no information on why or indeed if old threads cause a loss of time while comping.
I have already said I cannot see that however you comp that they can make anything more than a fractional difference in time taken and nothing like the time it takes to expire a competition.

my msg wasnt aimed at anyone. it was a general observation. people moan far too much imo. if they just got on with using this forum for what it was set up for and left the people who were supposed to do the jobs to do them then i reckon it'd be a happier place.
maybe by drawing attention to the fact that this forum is not working as efficiently as it should it might do more harm than good.

Luckyone, no offence hun, but I really can't say I care.
it botheres me very little, it doesnt appear to bother the bgs or the mse team. im at a loss to understand why you're on such a crusade.

BGs as and when it's convenient for them to do so.

That is unless someone can show a way of comping that dead competitions cause a major problem with and no-one can show a way around it without a need to urgently expire competitions.

This thread started out as something else (if u read the title up there ^). that's why i started reading.

you already knew what sort of answer i was going to give when you asked, due to what was said on the other thread (which was thankfully merged rather than deleted which is what you wanted). so why ask if not to cause trouble?

Yes I am fully aware of the thread title as I was the one to create this thread.

Threads evolve people talk about subjects related to the original thread title.

This oringinal thread would not of been made if we have enough BG's that's why people are talking about the lack of Bg's

I did not want any threads closed why would I? I spent a lot of time & effort on that thread over several days to try & find a answer to the problem.

Sorry my bad I thought calling people unintelligent was a tad rude.


Merging duplicate competitions does help the forum run more smoothly and this thread has been useful in knowing who is and isn't doing that atm.

The expiring duplicates was suggested by a BG from another board and it was good to know Glad didn't want us to do that.
