Did well yesterday, up to £59 on my local sales and had a NSD which I hadn't expected.to. I have an item finishing on Ebay today which I'm hoping will go for £7 so I can pay off the remaining balance on my credit card.

Swimming this morning then a pub lunch with friends, have only budgeted £10 though so not sure if that will be enough...

Done! My balance transfer CC is paid off, 11 months before it needed to be. Hoorah!

Probably not the most sensible idea as I would have gained, ooh, about 20p interest in a savings account (it was only £125) but it makes me feel better to have no debt and now I can start saving!

Oh, nd as from September i will be having an extra 6 hours work a week, which means i'll hopefully be able to save a bit more

Nice one! That's great news. Remember to allocate the extra wage straight to your savings - if you don't have it in the first place, you can't miss it

Great idea, i must admit that i hadnt thought about doing that..oops!

It'll be about an extra £40 a week, but after tax probably £4, LOL!

I'm 25, live with OH in rented accommodation, and have two big aims; the first is a substantial deposit for a house, and the second our first big holiday together to Sri Lanka in April...
