Comfy cushion - a savings diary

A couple of tips:
1) Set up a standing order to transfer some money once a month (say £50) into a savings account the day after you get paid. If they money isn't in your main account you won't spend it.
2) Keep a track of every penny you spend in a spreadsheet. You'll be amazed to see where the money goes - those sandwiches and cans of coke all add up.0 -
Thanks Doshwaster - I already have a spending diary but will keep on with that. I also do a standing order to all my other savings which works well but this is the pot that keeps falling by the wayside when I need something so I need to work harder at it. I will go and set up my standing order now.My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |
