Morning all
I have been potting away as usual, a couple of £2 for the owls head and the usual £1 in t'other pot along with any scrapnel, I know I should count it up but well I have been a bit busy but at least I have caught up on the posts and everyone is still potting away.
nell - sounds like you are doing well with your treatment, good on ya!
LuckyCharlie - sounds lovely, a week in tenerife, have a great time.
I was on my way into T*sc* and a chap bent down in front of me and picked up a coin and then he walked a few more paces and picked up another one! If only I was a couple of seconds sooner, they would have been jumping into my pot! oh well...

I'd just like to say thank you so much for the help and support you've all shown me. As I said before, I've a long way to go to sort my money situation out completely, but for the first time ever I've got some money in place for Christmas and the debts are being paid back, slowly but surely.
Well done you, keep up the good work :TDreamerHelen wrote: »£6.30 in my Pot tonight.....which takes me just over £100!! :j :money: :j

Ooooo LC2! where was my invite  I cant believe your taking your Dh rather than me! im much more fun! :rotfl: :rotfl:
Have a fab time though and bring me back some rock
*sigh* my DS! *sigh* I swear the child forgot to sign up for brains before he was born, rings the house at 8:15am to tell his dad hes supposed to be going on a school trip today and has forgotten his wellies . . DH races down school with them and then proceeds to tell me at lunchtime  now I raise what I think is a valid point here . . me: 'umm when did we find out he was going on a trip today? there were 4 dates and ive never been told which it was?' DH: 'I dunno' . . me: 'umm also DS is school dinners, whats he done about lunch?' DH: 'umm I dunno' . . . Me: 'OFGS pass me the phone!'
ring school and it turns out DS hasnt gone on trip cos all the faffing around they did this morning meant he missed the darn bus anyway! so I basically beg his geography teacher to put him with another group and then text him to tell him . . Me: 'your going on trip friday' DS: 'no it was today I missed the bus' . . Me: *rolling eyes as I type* 'yes I know (forcibly stopping myself typing 'you numpty' afterwards) ive re-arranged for you to go friday WITH your wellies AND your lunch'
Sometimes I truly dispair at the pair of them
No pennies for me at the minute though I did get 2 bags of shopping at the C0-op for £7and 6 bottles of herb*l essences shampoo/conditioner for £5
so not bad at all

I'm so chuffed your Sis has paid you back, Ruth, what a lovely surprise! :j
So am i believe me lol. now i just have to get out of the habit of judging all her spends lol
jakes-mum I know it doesn't really help but when i was a school the canteen made a packup for anyone on school dinners..... although i suppose that would be difficult for them for Jake.
Determined to pot some pennies tonight. I took out £500 to pay for my dads car to be fixed but he managed to get the £400 part second-hand for £50!!!!! So i think i'll give his £200 to get it fitted and for tyres and keep the rest for an emergency
I have a lot planned in december now so i finally know what i'm doing with my pennies, London the first weekend to go to some winter wonderland thing with my brother. Notts the second for their C*mas fair (the one i went to last year and had roasted chestnuts and roast potatoes. Third and fourth week working at the bird garden for their C*mas do. Getting merry on the mulled wine!!
Even more excited for count up day now!!!!!Sealed Pot Challenge member #071 VSP #4

They do for primary school here but not secondarywhich is a bit of a bug bear of mine as they get free school meals, so the school are claiming the money for feeding him but not actually feeding him if he goes on a day trip
They can do sandwiches for him as the school secretary is wheat intolerant so they've got all the G/F stuff already for her
TBH DS eats better than we do  he has sweet and sour chicken, lasagne, curry, roast dinners, fish fingers and chips . . . its only the puddings that are a bit rubbishy in his opinion (yoghurt, custard or fruit
) but as I keep reminding him, ive got loads of sweet bits here so id rather he stuffed himself with good wholesome firsts :rotfl:

Evening all, just thought I'd pop my head in so that you didn't think I'd dropped off the face of the planet!!
Moved out of our rented house two and a half weeks ago and have been staying at a friends house. We finally exchanged on Wednesday (woo hoo) and we complete on Thursday...yipee!! :j
No potting lately, as it's in a box somewhere in our friends garage!! However, I did find 5p roadkill when I was cleaning the house before we moved out so that is in my pocket ready to be potted!!
Hope everyone is well!! Looking forward to opening our pots soon. Think I should have somewhere between £30 and £50 in mine, hopefully.Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0
