LC2 have a lovely holiday
Nell thanks it looks lovely
I agree, a good sea view always lifts the spirits doesn't it - maybe that's why I'm enjoying the SW coast path so much
DD gave me 2 x £2 coins in my rent so they joined the other one in Patrick straight away
Mossy how exciting! At last! Good luck on moving dayThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Happybeingme wrote:Thank you very much Sue-UU I really appreciate it! So when I list at the end of the challenge I could do something along the lines of
'£100 SPC + £28 Mr T vouchers, £52 Mr M stamps'??
Nothing potted today as the purse is empty till Monday, but at least I'm not spending either!
I'd just like to say thank you so much for the help and support you've all shown me. As I said before, I've a long way to go to sort my money situation out completely, but for the first time ever I've got some money in place for Christmas and the debts are being paid back, slowly but surely.
Hope everyone has a lovely evening
Xx
I'm pleased you're happy with it, Happybeingme, and what you've suggested above is fine. You may be a fair way from getting free of debt - but - you're well on the way and should be very proud of what you've achieved so far. Keep to your budget and don't spend unless you NEED to!Your highlighted sentence above means a to to me also, everyone here too I'm sure, we all know what it's like to be in a similar position. Stay positive and you'll get there!
Many thanks, Thrifty Fashionista. Two down...14 to go!
Great news, getting-there-slowly, someone else so happy with saving!
Eyes ever on the ground pays off, Willow, just beware of what's ahead.DreamerHelen wrote:Hope everyone is well...Not long until we open up the Pot!!
You're right, Helen, amazing how swiftly that'll fly by now too, little over 8 weeks. Just over £100 is brilliant so you should be well pleased with yourself - imagine what next year could bring you in!
Lovely to see you, Anna, good to hear you're saving well.
Have a wonderful time in Tennerife, LC 2, and well done with all the cash banked and for popping it on your siggy.
Not to worry, mishmogs, he might just have needed it more than you...well, it sounds better.
I've longed to ask Nell that, Rosy, so I'm glad you did. It looks so beautiful.
Good news about the car, Ruth, all the best with the December plans.
Ah there you are, Nell, thanks for letting us know. I love IOW very much. Well done with the assignment.
Not to worry, jakes-mum, though to be honest it sounds like a typical day in your house! :rotfl: Go on, say it isn't so.Keep saving hard, folks, you have just over 8 weeks left.
Sue xAnyone wishing to join, please just ask, you're more than welcome, it's NEVER too late. I've been struggling the last few days...
There was a really cute hedgehog garden ornament I saw reduced from £6 to £3, and said to myself "noooo, you don't NEED it!" and there have been another couple of times I've had to do the same thing
This weekend has been quite eventful. We met another wedding photographer, and I think this is the one!I've secured the wedding insurance today as well. It was my first time using Quidco, so I hope I've done it right.
We also bought a fireplace from Gumtree. My OH spotted the advert and got the measurements from the seller. He said it was definitely going to fit in the car! I said "are you sure?!" and he assured me it definitely would! So, we got there, (an hour's drive away - with a toll bridge on the way) and it didn't fit in the car! So, we had to get his uncle to go with his estate car to get what we couldn't. Got it into the house and it's too wide for where we want it, despite me telling my OH to check the measurements there too  This is what happens when I let my OH make his own decisions :rotfl: I'm determined to find a way to make this work though. There's a couple of imperfections, but it's good for £40. When we went to B&Q, similar ones cost £200. I'm gonna be toasty this winter, all being well
We bought ourselves and my OH's uncle a Thai takeaway this evening to thank him for his troubles, and my OH put the £2.55 change in the pot.
I can't believe as of tomorrow we'll be able to say "next month we open up the pots". I've been potting since February and I can't believe how fast the time has gone :eek:SPC '21 #0750 -

I've been lucky enough to pot £23+ lately. £13 was left over from one of my bill money envelopes that wasn't needed and £10 I found in the secret pocket of my fishing coat. It was emergency money that I'd forgotten and replaced.
Also other dibs and dabs gone in the pot.
Sue, sorry for not getting back to you, I do mean angling, DH loves it and had no-one to go with so I started. We do quite well together, he's very good and I'm lucky.

Hi Guys,
Sorry I have been away for what seems like ages. I have been happily hubby-rummaging for trouser shrapnel and potting any stray coinage found around the house in a vain attempt to get clutter-free before Chr****as (dare not say that word yet....!).Sealed Pot Challenge - No: 223
