  • PS does anyone here wear nail varnish? I can't work out if i'm particularly hand violent but it always seems to chip after a day on my dominant hand!! Grr!

I do :) what polish are you using and how do you apply it? If it is not very opaque it is best to use multiple thin layers to build up the colour, letting it dry properly in between layers. Try to use a good top coat too (also applied thinly). You can add a thin layer each day for extra long lasting. Making sure you have a good base often helps too.

I have a thing for polish and nail art, can you tell haha.

My new german student will be here tomorrow night, found out shes vegetarian but we are meat eaters so I think our meat intake will fall which can only be a good thing.

I am excited for your tails with this new student. Your last was so entertaining. Cutting down on the meat is apparently a good thing but i don't think i could manage lol

£26.48 (lots of £2) gone into my pot recently. Another low month for me i'm afraid. Next month i will do better :)

Saver88 congratulations on paying your credit card off this week!! Just noticed it on your siggy! :T

Have managed to pot the odd bit of shrapnel.

Still no news on the house front...except that apparently our sellers purchase is going well....one can only presume/hope that means they now have the paperwork and are progressing with the searches etc. Perhaps in future the only way to make the house buying process easier is to buy a house from a solicitor...that way they'll pull their finger out!!

The outlaws are coming tomorrow, going to be positive, I'm sure it will be fine!! They are staying until DD goes back to school on Thursday, however I go back on Tuesday as we have two inset days. This will be ok/nice so long as they don't do anything too fun while I'm at work!! Of course if they have dinner organised by the time I get back from work I will be happy lol!! ;) If however I come back from work and they have been off having fun and then ask me what's for dinner....someone may die lol!! :rotfl:

Happy Potting everyone, and enjoy the last few days of the summer holidays for those that get to enjoy them!! :D
Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!

wegle - welcome and good luck.

mossy - enjoy your time with the "outlaws". lol

Some great potting going on ............................... but nothing from myself today ............................... unless I can't make the milk last!!
I may have to pop out later if the milk can't stretch, but would prefer a NSD and catch up tomorrow. I must start and freeze a pint or at least some!!

Lovely sunny day, but sadly they will diminish ........................... make the most of what we have left. lol
Can't complain these last few months though.

Just raided coat pockets, spare handbags, the "man-drawer" and found an additional £1.41 in shrapnel for my sealed jar. Also 30 Euro cents which I've bundled away with the rest of our Euro coins. I also note we have a fair amount in USD coins. If anyone is off the US and would like a really good exchange rate for some coins......:D

Now, where else am I likely to find pennies hiding......poor hubby is going to be most upset when he realizes his secret stash has been raided and relieved of 5ps and lower!
