Welcome everyone who is new here, or just come back :D

I've not potted anything again, but pretty proud I managed to do research and cut things out and make the shopping cost only £24.07.

    93p left in the bank!!!!

On the bright side, I still have that £5 note. If I walk everywhere for the next couple of days, hopefully I can pot it :D

Haven't potted for a while but this is the first year I haven't broken into the pot early for daughter's trip somewhere or something like that!:)
Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
    And we were young.

Hello! Please can I join in for SPC #7?

I have a large tin which DH was given for Christmas a couple of years ago (and has a £10 note in to start me off). I'm hoping to change industry/job in 2014, so there may be a very lean period...

You've got brights sides all through your post, dinglefoot, especially if you save that £5er and don't give it to any companies, they don't need it so much as you do! Well done with the researching and saving that way as well, I too am proud of you, a brilliant day if you ask me! :T

Hello again, rubytuesday! So good to see you poking your head round ready for Thursday. Well done on keeping your cash in the pot. See you soon.

Please, EVERYONE, would you kindly all check that you have your numbers on your siggies! Thanks.
Ok then, potters, after today there are only THREE days to save! So save all you can!!

    Thank you Sue-UU

I'm lucky that if anything goes wrong, I've got something to fall back on but budgeting is my middle name. Right, I'll now shuffle off and put my number on my signature! :j :j

mrsbee (Debbie), as with all other new members, you also can get started just as soon as you like! All the best to you for a good year's saving. The thread is certainly addictive, so be prepared, but at least you have some idea after reading through.

VickyA, it's good to hear you're a bit of a sage when it comes to budgeting, doesn't it make a difference. Thanks for popping your No on.

    Just the job, Modesty....

    ...and VERY well done, Saver88!

    Hi all :)

Gosh the thread's moving fast at the moment! I go away for a night and there's pages to read! :D
Welcome to all our new potters, hope you enjoy potting and saving over the next year it's addictive!
I've potted some shrapnel and put 2 x £2 in my holding pot just in case I need change this week.
Also Sue please can I add a target next year - I'll try to get £800 cos I got £600 in my 1st year and £700 this year so clearly I should stick with the trend :D
I might have to follow jakes-mum's example and sell anything that doesn't move :rotfl:
