Dear sparky and Sue, I've opened Patrick the pot early because I wanted to give some of it to the typhoon appeal. Hope that's OK.

So this is me number 1683 declaring another £279, making my grand total £719!

Really pleased, thankyou so much for running this thread :D

Well done RosyQ, Thats a fab amount :D and double well done for donating in these tough times :D

£2.50 from another FB sale and about a £1 in change from post office. Got in a right tizwas as the post office as somehow the lady managed to put through my total completely wrong (despite it all being electronic) and charged me £14 for 5 parcels  went back and gave her the receipts saying I thought it was wrong and we worked it all out but in the confusion I forgot one of my large letters was 2nd class and agreed it was 1st class so still ended up over paying :( but at least it was 21p not the £5 odd pound before that

  • Thanks for my number Sue.

Well another successful £1.22 liberated from my OH, think he's starting to think I might put him in the pot if he sits still long enough, lol. I did explain as he has been my main source of income so far he's safe.

I rarely use any cash for purchases. Can I use save the change from TSB. It rounds everything up to the £ and transfers it to another account so it's sort of the same thing.?

Well done, Lynne, though with that phrase you're showing your age a bit - not that I'd know! :silenced:

Thanks Sue-UU - when was that ?? The old ads were the best and funny how they stuck in your mind eh ? How about - 'Only the flakiest' etc although the ones for soap powders were always awful :rotfl:Sorry - I digress

    Another £ 1 in the pot :D

    Happy potting one and all

There is actually a thread for exactly this type of saving called the 'virtual sealed pot challenge' if you already save like that, might be worth having a nose at their thread :)

  • Good morning every one,

It's been a while since I posted but I have had to open and use the pot for emergency dental work :(

There's a few coppers left, so I will count them and add to the total when we all add up.

I can't wait to start next years if there's one :)

    Happy Tuesday everyone

  • Good morning everyone

Yesterday was GS8 birthday so held a little tea party here for him just his mum and dad and brothers. He informs me at 8.30 he really wants a minecraft cake!!! So spent the best part of the day making that!!

Gave DH the job of putting banners up and blowing 20 balloons
    Oh!! did he moan!

    " Haven't we got a pump?

    "No"
    "I've been ill"
"Having a cold a week ago doesn't count"
    "Well I'm old "
"Yes that's true I can remember when you blew up 100 balloons for DS4"

Balloons blown up without another word :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Anyway we had a lovely evening Will have main party at weekend.

Sent DH shopping! That's always a disaster but I had important things to do like coming on here :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Booked to go Poland on the 8th December
