Of course you can join us, BlueDaisy, you too, Moneysavingmomma. A very warm welcome to you both. biggrin.gif You can start saving now! Have fun saving and enjoy the banter. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 5 of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge.

Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away. ;)

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.

BlueDaisy, don't worry, you're not alone in getting a little forgetful at times. Stay with the challenge so you keep reminded.

Moneysavingmomma, if you focus on transferring spending into saving you'll soon find how addicted you get to that. This thread has turned many lives around, come on here regularly and let it happen to you! ;)

That's fantastic, sexyshark, big dividends too!! :T You're saving all the way round now, very well done you on having accomplished so much! :j Just goes to show that it pays to save. :D Did you want me to put your Target of £900 on the 1st page?
Count me in :D I seriously have nothing better to do during work hours haha. Lets just hope my boss isn't an MSEer haha. Now that i got the forum working on the iPad though i can help out more at the weekend too :D

That reminds me. I saw a man using the coinstar machine (which annoys me even more since i had a headache). I felt like going up to him and saying "hey, i'll bag all the coins up for you and only charge you 5p for every £1

Thanks so very much, Ruth, I started it last night so ready when you are. Any other helpers with our Reminder thread please look for "Reminder to all "Sealed pot Challenge" members" on the Debt-Free Wannabee board (NOT the DFW diaries). Do please make sure NOT to bump it too often though, about 1/2 to 3/4hr between bumps will be perfect. :D

Re the plastic money bags: You can get plastic money bags from ANY bank, not just the ones you bank with, so get them in ready folks.

Very well done to your DH, Beth!!
Hi everyone, I've not been here for many moons & life has changed quite a bit since then. But I'm a cheerful person! Like so many of you I intend to make small changes which hopefully should build up to a big difference to my family's life; I'm starting small with the sealed pot challenge. I'm a bit late for the 2013 challenge but after rummaging around in my penny purse, my money box upstairs and my money box downstairs I've accumulated £1.04. So here we go!! Wish me luck!!

Hiya jennypennysaver! It's lovely to see you back, but do yourself a favour and come on here regularly, it encourages you and helps remind folk to SAVE, even if it's only a little. Budget well & save well. ;) All the best for SPC 7.

Your turn will come round soon enough, hummingbird, but IF you wish you can still declare your savings so far, tis up to you.
Oh and forgive me if it's not the right place to ask but i was going to start a new monthly challenge next week which is about living on £10 for 1 week for luxuries such as that sneaky coffee from starbucks or buying new clothes, jewellery etc... and wanted to know if anyone was interested in joining because every time i make a challenge no-one really joins so I'm giving it another go.

There you go, LeopardPrintsAndTea, a little more advertising for your challenge, I might have a butchers myself - if I get chance! Good luck. BTW, I think you were very fair with that money in the nursery, well done. :A

Have a wonderful time catching up with your Son, Lynne.
Only 7 more days to go with your savings, potters, so make each day count!

    Sue x

Anyone wishing to join, please just ask, you're more than welcome, it's NEVER too late. There may be a lot of us, but don't be shy, we're a lovely lot, so come on in.:grinheart

I think I've done my signature correctly. I'm also excited Moneysavingmomma so if you're wrong, I'm wrong too. I'm going to label my Sealed Pot tin tonight when I get home. I rarely actually have any cash so I might have to start raiding my hubbys pockets for loose change to fill it!! :-)
