I started with MF then, after finding this forum, started joining most of the firms on page 1.
RA, RM, GR & GfK were my first. I've since ended up joining most of them over the past 9 months.
When I restarted my mystery shopper career I started with Helion, later I joined GAPbuster and Bare and then, after a little while, I finally signed up with almost all those on the list as well as a few not listed there.0 -
Was in a new burger joint in London earlier and saw a girl walk in brandishing her MarketForce assignment notes in her hand, bold as brass reading them in the queue. Left before she was served but I'd bet she still had them in her hand as she ordered. Idiot. So tempted to email MF and dobb her in!0

Sometimes people do stupid things.. And it works both ways
I was sat at a table in a pub last week going through some paperwork, when a woman came up to me and started going off on one about how I should be more descrete and wearing a MF lanyard and ID card made it blatent that I was MSing the pub, and how it ruined it for people like her who did it discretely!.
At this point I had to point out to her I was not MSing the joint but conducting an open audit and the gentleman at the table with me going through paperwork was the pub manager. Who now knew she was a regualar MSer for the location so it may be best she not accept assignments there any more.

I've had the worst day. I've been doing open audits in small independent stores, and I was treated really quite badly by owners of a different ethnic origin (which doesn't make any difference to me at all), all of whom didn't want to let me do my work. They eye me with suspicion. I can usually brave these things out, but today, I've had so many totally unacceptable remarks (including asking what was under my suit) and requests for an after-hours number (what?!) that I need a glass of wine. Or bottle. Is it just me? I'm just trying to make a living without having to return to the career from hell, and I always look and behave professionally. Not a happy girl. *moan over*

Good on you for taking them on. ::T sounds like you need a glass of wine. My visit of he'll this week was to a chemist on a real sink estate. It was the only shop in the parade not boarded up and outside there were men hanging around with Chav dogs. Not a place to hang around in...0 -
Sounds like you're taking jobs on my doorstep :rotfl:Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?0 -
I am planning on a spongebob onesie under my suit next week. That'll disappoint them. Pinot grigio and marmite on toast tells me that this is all part of the job.
