  • Well... you're honest, at least. :undecided

I suppose they don't actually require you to confirm that you like the stuff before you take the job, so you could argue that it's their fault if they get useless results. And I'm pretty sure that is a useless result, in terms of reporting back to the client. I can understand the proof reader's confusion for once, and I never thought I'd be on their side. :rotfl:

'I do not like it that way.'

'How do you feel about the client's product when it is served in a normal glass?'
'I do not like it that way.'

Proofreader query: 'These two answers contradict each other - please answer again.'
My response: 'There is no contradiction between these two answers - please read your own questionnaire.'

Proofreader: 'The only way that these two answers could be correct would be if you do not like the client's product, no matter how it is served'.
My response: 'I can confirm that is the case'.

    Jesus wept.

    Love it!

Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?

Come on be fair, you don't need to like something in order to come up with something constructive to say.

Exactly, for once a well worded and constructive proofreading query. The MS was obviously not interested in providing constructive feedback.

Slight change of subject back to these ESA train ticket jobs - for those of you who did successfully get paid for them, did your job ever change from 'pending validation' to some sort of 'approved' state? Mine is still sitting at 'pending validation' and my two emails querying the status have gone unanswered and unacknowledged :(

It's my first job with them - just asking for info from those who did get paid last month.

Constructive feedback was not requested - it was a click-box, asking a subjective question, with four potential answers. If they don't want people's honest opinions, then they shouldn't ask stupid questions.

8 of my 12 were pending validation but then when it came to the end of the month and then they all got shoved into my payslip. They never said OK to pay on the actual pay history page.

    They will pay, don't worry.

I only got the fee first, and then a few days later, the reimbursement and the postage came.

Just give them a call if there is a problem. I am sure Josh and George will be more than happy to help. :D

Thanks Mimi - I appreciate the detailed reply. I'll be sure to ask for Josh or George if I call them :)
