I think it means next weekend, but it's a lot of money I'll be shelling out and don't want to get it wrong. Just thought I'd run it past my learned forum buds before I head off out and spend a small fortune........
When googled, forthcoming means: Planned for or about to happen in the near future. So I'd have said, with your scenario, next Saturday. Is the ticket purchase an advance purchase?0 -

Thanks Johnny. The briefings are a bit sketchy for these visits, but based on the wording on this and other ones I've done, I'd say it is advance purchase rather than just turn up and go. I have some today that are weekday and two that are weekend so I assume it's for next week too. I only picked the visits up last night after ESA's phone lines were closed so can't check for sure.0 -

The briefs are shocking, I had to buy a 4 day ticket which doesn't exist, now the whole point of this MS looks like it is finding out what the clerk recommends, I was recommended buying a day return each day so I was sold a day return, that apparently wasn't right :mad:0 -
One eye-opener about doing this sort of work is the exposure to sales tactics one might never usually encounter...
Visited a phone shop today I'd never usually touch with a bargepole (to be fair - that antipathy isn't aimed at the shop, but the whole sector). I experienced a technique I have now twice encountered in two branches of the same shop 30+ miles apart.
At a key point in the sales process, when I ask what sort of phone is best for me, the attractive young saleswoman throws her head back runs her fingers through her hair, makes eye contact, and says: "Depends what you fancy." Wow - that's some floor show.
Careful fellas, it's a jungle out there.0 -

Yikes! I hope you'll still get paid for it?! I almost abandoned a visit today when I was told there would be a £400 outlay - now I'm nervously waiting for it to be approved :eek:0 -
Could anyone help me? I've got a quick query about fees from a certain company- can I say the name? ESA? I did a frozen food supermarket for them last month and I've been paid £1 less than I thought I was getting (i.e. no expenses). I also did a tea/ coffee shop for them and I've been given the fee but no re-imbursement for what was bought on top. I always fill in my spread sheet at the time of accepting with the fees, but I just want to double check with a third party before I submit a pay query with them. Any help gratefully received! I've been having problems with Retail Active not paying me my expenses for the last 2 months too, but I've got them back now.Minimalist
