    You had a bad day?

No one I have spoken to or emailed at RM could even remotely be described as incompetent, sure the website has some bugs but all you had to do was email them. Their jobs are quick, concise and reasonably well paid for the effort involved.
day, more like bad week lol
i did not mean RM was inconpetent its just every thing seems to need be chased up or looked into
I merchandise a lot too and i am covering two stores 12 miles apart but the deliveries are going to each other even though the store nomber is 3 completely different numbers, so when Iring and ask for a POD. they ask me have you looked properly and made sure its not there.
opps silly me yes here it is 12 miles away.
but when we make a mistake well:naughty:

Calls via the GfK call recording client should only cost the same as a call to a geographical number (ie. in most cases included in your call package) regardless of whether the ultimate destination is an 0845/0870/0906 number or whatever. They handle the onward call cost.

Sadly that is not the case with quite a few call packages any non-geographical call is chargeable on my Virgin land line and EE mobile.

You can check so see if it is on the up-coming pay-run

    My Settings - Pay History

Mine is showing against one of the visits.

Ah, thanks for this. I'll look when I get home.

I don't see the problem with having a chat as thats what normal customers often do! Only issue I suppose is that it takes longer to sift the necessary info from the call.

One possible issue I can see is that briefs quite often state that you should allow the member of staff to lead the conversation... I know that I tend to start waffling on at them and having to bite my tongue before I answer the questions they've not even asked yet. :D

I suppose it might be an issue if you've not given them the opportunity to show that they can establish your needs by asking relevant questions, or to build rapport by making conversation themselves.

Sounds a bit harsh to me - sometimes you need to build up some rapport get the necessary information that their after

Only ever been "told off" by Amber Arch, they were sacked after I put the phone down, it's got their MO all over it.

Ah, what you have to remember is RM are still very much "Old School" they didn't have an allocations site till a few months ago, most stuff is still done via email so that is really the first place to check, mind if you every have to call them they are great.

None of the calls I picked up used their recording system. So I sacked all their 0845 jobs and just did the 0800 numbers.

Just did my first job for grassroots - wow how nice was that! Wander around the shop, ask a few not too obvious questions and fill in a really easy questionnaire with minimal comments needed and no need for photos of shop or receipt nor remembering names/descriptions of several members of staff! Only downside was no reimbursement for purchase (though they say you can return it after) and I was struggling to find anything I actually wanted to buy in this particular shop but in the end I found something I had actually been looking for last winter and it was nicer than the one I had been planning to buy. Makes a nice change to do a job like that :)

It's the exception rather than the rule in the MS world. Unfortunately too many people snap the low paid jobs up so everything gets devalued.
